During our full house renovation, we were let down by two different plumbers before a friend recommended Direct Plumbing Solutions and we’re so glad they did. From the very first home visit, my partner (who has over 20 years’ experience in the building industry) was impressed by their professional, transparent quoting process and the friendly, approachable manner of the company’s director.

Every interaction that followed from the plumbing engineers to the office staff was exceptional. Any issues that came up were handled quickly and thoughtfully, always with a genuine desire to help. Each job was followed up by the office team to make sure everything was completed to a high standard.

We’ve already recommended Direct Plumbing Solutions to numerous friends and will continue to do so. We have full confidence in their ability to handle any project, big or small. Infact, we’ve already booked them for our next one!

I've had Lewis and the lads at Direct Plumbing Solutions carry out many jobs around our home from installing a new boiler to adding outside hot water taps. They are always professional and respectful of my property. I also believe they are transparent around costs and offer value for money. They are my go to company for all my plumbing requirements.

Had to call out on a weekend as boiler had a error. Lewis came out within the hour. Always brilliant service. Won't use anyone else for our plumbing jobs. Highly recommend

Engineer was polite, kept me informed as to what he was doing (and why), his workspace (and my house) was left spotless throughout the whole process, absolutely no fuss whatsoever and highly skilled. Just had a new header tank fitted in the loft to replace our old galvanised water tank. Great service from start to finish, prompt response to any questions we had, a job well done. Would use again for any other plumbing problems.

Just had my kitchen floor tiled and a new vertical radiatir fitted, looks fantastic, professional job from start to finish, this is the 3rd time I have used them, they did my bathroom and downstairs toilet and always do a good job, always start on time and go out of their way to make sure your happy with the job. Can not recommend Lewis and the team highly enough.

We first used Direct plumbing to fix a combi boiler, this was done quickly and was sorted to a high standard.
Then we had our bathroom updated with Direct Plumbing. Lewis came quickly to look at options and offer advice, the work was booked in 2 weeks later and the bathroom is fantastic.
The team were polite, knowledgeable and got on with things that needed doing. Whilst taking out the old bathroom, we found issues with the wall and floor - these were sorted straight away without any hassle.
Emma in the office is immense and really is an asset to the company!! She was on hand to answer any questions, kept us updated with the schedule of works.

The finish is amazing, we are super happy with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending Direct Plumbing!

Unfortunately, we have suffered major grievances with Direct Plumbing Solutions Ltd. and had to fork out a lot of money to another engineer to make the house safe and complete the work that Lewis, Grant and co messed up.

Furthermore, they left the boiler in such an unsafe state that - if the call-out engineer wasn’t able to repair it there and then - the house would have been condemned and disconnected from the gas main! They are currently being investigated by Gas Safe Register as a result. DO NOT TRUST THIS FIRM!

Don’t be deceived by their initial respectful, competent and professional manner: as soon as they began work they demonstrated exactly the opposite.

The didn’t follow the brief - to remove and reinstall our boiler - at all and did everything in an ill-considered manner:
- Damage to Auxiliaries: they cut through a lot of control cables without labeling and lost a junction box and pump connector (which took a specialist electrical engineer to rewire)
- Incorrect location: fitted the pipework on the wrong wall (that was unplastered = complicated repair, and lost space in kitchen design), and fitted a valve inline with the suspended ceiling that needed to be refitted, dropped pipes down in the middle of the ceiling rather than tucked tidy to the edge. Basic mistakes that a customer shouldn’t have to handhold through!
- Stolen Parts: didn’t refit and lost/stole a lot of supplementary components that we had to repurchase and refit,
- Additional Cost: added on charge for new longer flue at 100% mark up as said they didn’t realise the wall was being internally insulated and hadn’t quoted for this (the whole reason for the work!)
- Flue Issues: the telescopic flue was held with gaffa tape (not heat-resistant tape and screws), angled the wrong way, missing a seal that led to the boiler to malfunction
- Gas Safety: they initially left the gas turned off to the whole property so we couldn’t use the cooker, and then left the feed to the boiler loose. The engineer whole came out to resolve this condemned the house and we’ve had to report Direct Plumbing Solutions Ltd to Gas Safe Register as a result
- Communication: we were left without hot water for four months, which furthermore delayed all the other building work. They pretended that they didn’t realise we were living in the house (with children) at the time, which is BS. When coming back to repair a mistake, Lewis had said we can pay for this on completion then half-way through the work became aggressive threatening to undo the work and leave unless we paid immediately over the phone.
- Resolution: initially they seemed open to finding a professional resolve to these grievances, but - as with the whole process - have just told us what we want to hear at the time and when it comes to actually doing the work have pulled out, leaving us over £1000 out-of-pocket

There are many other plumbing firms and gas engineers out there: do yourself a favour and don’t risk it with these cowboys!

The engineer that visited was friendly and efficient with excellent communication throughout the process. The follow up from the office was equally as good and I will be recommending them to anyone in the area that requires plumbing.

We booked in for a boiler replacement early December. Lewis came out to see us and then Grant fitted our new boiler and also tidied up some very old pipework. The job was done quickly, no mess and the new boiler working perfectly.

My Emerson head tank literally fell off my wall 🥺 I was calling round everywhere I could to get it fixed And Lewis promised to get it fixed and that it would be safe a hour and half later it was fixed and safer than it was in the first place (since it literally fell off the wall) thank you so so much and definitely recommend
