Virtually No returns Policy

I've virtually given up on trying to return a cover that is far too big and heavy for me to handle. I'm 75 and female. There was no warning about the size of the cover. I've not removed it from its carry case which I can barely lift. They don't answer the phone. Neither 'suppor't nor the 'hello' address, which is supposed to initiate returns, reply to their emails. No returns address is supplied. No receipt was supplied, which their returns policy say they'd need. They also say it has to be sent back in original packaging - this was a black plastic bag, taped up, which needed to be destroyed to get into it. Does the company do returns? I don't think so. I've complained to my Credit card company who have suspended the transaction. They won't get paid.

Bespoke cover didn't fit!!

At the moment I have purchased a cover which arrived and didn't fit properly even though it was a bespoke cover for my specific model!
I also optioned to have the lock kit provided at £15 extra which was never included in the parcel!!
First email to request a refund has been ignored after 5 days of no reply.
Just emailed again so will update this review in the next week or so.

Motorcycle cover for Yamaha FJR1300A

I (apparently) accidentally ordered an upgrade to the bike cover I ordered for my husband's Christmas present. I tried phoning immediately when I realised the upgrade had been added but they just don't answer their phone. It rings and rings and then asks for a PIN number. I emailed but I didn't hear back for a few days. However, they did email me back eventually and resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction - and the cover seems to be just the job! Only 4 stars due to their poor communication but product is great! Thanks.

Poor quality car cover from direct car covers

I recently spent nearly £200 on a waterproof and breathable car cover. I am very disappointed with the cover as it let's in water. When you pay good money you'd expect it to do it's job. This is mis selling on a big scale. They have not responded to my emails yet and feel I have been badly let down. Don't waste your money. Don't bother with this shambles of a company. Do your homework and look at the bad reviews which I regrettably forgot to do.

Rubbish poor fit & leaks

Cover barely fits, after giving full car details, front valance exposed, can't get through to customer service, no one picks up phone, then requires pin???, and to put icing on cake lets water through absolute chinese rubbish stay well clear, feel rather foolish as should have read reviews, looks like this will be a very expensive mistake,

A company to rely upon

My original order for a car cover was delivered promptly, but the wrong size.
The company response was superb and a replacement was sent out immediately.
Things can go wrong, and the measurement of any organisation is how they react to a problem and they were excellent.
I can strongly, and with confidence, recommend Direct Car Covers.

Car Cover 'not fit for purpose'

The main problem is that I cannot reach this company regarding a request for a refund. The product is not 'fit for purpose' (does not fit my car properly, has inadequate strength and number of security straps, etc.) No replies to emails, No answers to phone calls (just recorded message) and referral to 'one of our car cover experts" which does not happen due their system requesting a 'PIN Code' which i do not have. I am now claiming from my credit card company.
UPDATE 22 October : I have now received a FULL REFUND from the company - without returning the product!!! Now my problem is : where to return the product to? It came via UPS and my local Swedish postal company. As usual I cannot get through to them by phone or get any response to emails. NEVER EVER deal with this bunch of incompetents!

Good after sales

While it was disappointing that the cover really wasn't suitable, and after some communications problems, Direct Car Covers resolved my issue.

I would say they actually went above and beyond my expectations in resolving the problem.

Three stars for the unsuitable item, which was unfortunate.
Five stars for the customer service.

Cover doesn’t fit Audi Q6 properly. Cost £150.
7thOctober 2025. Sent message and called several times, no answer except “enter your pin” ?
Who wants to feed straps through wheels to tie down front and rear in the dark.

Cover was low quality and not…

Cover was low quality and not breathable. Their returns address "hello at directcovers.com" is non existent.
I am trying to contact them now.
I will send the cover back to where it came from (as on the Royal Mail parcel) if I do hear from them and then claim back from my credit card company.

Appear to be in breach of consumer law during ordering process

I was going to buy a car cover from this company until I read this on the order before checkout.
"Add CoverCheck Insurance (£14.99) to your order and we'll double check the cover you've chosen is the right fit for your vehicle. If it still doesn't fit as expected, we’ll replace it free of charge
WHAT!
Having ALREADY stated the make and year of the car my cover is for during the order process, a customer EXPECTS the delivered item to fit the said make/model without paying an extra £15. This is UK law! You are not allowed to sell something that is not 'fit for the purpose"' it's been ordered for! They are effectively breaking UK law by saying that they will only check they dispatch the correct fit for the model you ordered IF you pay extra. This is clearly a company that doesn't know they HAVE to send you what you pay for by law. What else are they doing wrong? I have decided to not place an order on this basis. It is just as well, having seen the other reviews here. It you look at the reviews on there site (which presumably they can control), you'd be mistaken for thinking they have a high star rating. Thank goodness for impartial Trustpilot

VW Polo GTI

I ordered a cover for a new VW Polo GTI and paid extra for the stain cover. I am disappointed with the cover because it does not fit correctly and no securing clips are provided with the wheel straps. Having entered all my model details carefully it is unacceptable that the cover does not fit correctly. The cover would fit a standard new Polo but not the GTI, due to a fixed roof aerial and rear roof spoiler. The cover is effectively useless as it does not cover the back of the car and will damage the roof aerial. A complete waste of £150+.

Purchased this for my audi ttrs, I've had the cover on for about a week, when the wind blows the cover rises up, for this type of price I would've expected better to be honest, like an idiot I didn't read the reviews.

I bought car cover for porche cayman ,I also paid extra for stain cover £186 when I put on cover I found you have to tie bands around wheels which can scratch and also found band that goes under car on back to front so to tighten you need to pull under car,I sent a msg and was sent some plastic buckles which they said are normally extra wow thanks even my £50 Salfords cover had proper fixings .I then covered car for a week and when I uncovered the rain had gone through in 3 large patches funny how they did not return my msgs so I had to buy my own waterproof spray ,but worse after cover left on for a couple of weeks the stitching has scratched both of my headlights.better off with Salfords which I,am going back to D Ryan

Scam Artist crap product take your money you get rubbish.

Absolutely crap product and company, they are fast to answer potential sales email but if you’ve a problem nothing from them total shower of a company people like this shouldn’t be trading, the car cover is absolutely useless rubbish,way to big poor quality outside poor quality lining inside security tabs are in the wrong places and the cover has so much overhang you cannot secure it tightly, and yes no answer to my problem and now emails just get returned undeliverable!! Poor rubbish please don’t spend your money with these scam companies like this one.

Regret so much that i didnt read…

Regret so much that i didnt read reviews on here before purchasing.
The customer service is so bad.
The car cover was for my partners M4 car, the cover caused scratches to his car.
Sent over all the pictures for proof with no response.

Buyer beware!

This business clearly cares nothing for customer service based on our experience. The landline number produces a recorded message “ we are the UK leading …etc” but then cuts off - every time. Email enquiries might be responded to - eventually, usually by “Dan” is he the only person there?
The order process started so well - the cover arrived within 2 days , delivered efficiently by a logistics company who clearly handle the stock - nothing wrong in that, but relevant when we noticed that there was no tag/ label/ barcode evident that identified this cover as being suitable for our vehicle. So, we enquired by email, no response. We tried to ring - see above. Now concerned, and having read the website return terms and conditions, we did not take the cover out of its protective bag. After two days Dan from Customer Support replied, assuring us that yes it was the correct cover ! But how did he know ? We had lost patience and invoked the refund policy - terms of which must be adhered to. Recommend return by tracked mail (logistics address was supplied ) and obtain proof of delivery. After chasing with this evidence after another week of no contact we did receive a refund, but not a happy experience.

This is not a bespoke product

This is not a bespoke product.
Terrible fit so the first windy day it will blow up like a balloon.
My cover ripped and tore where it tied to the alloy wheels.
I fed this back to the company and heard nothing.
Avoid !!

Shocking company

Shocking company. No reply from emails, alleged bespoke cover fits like a saggy old bin liner, fleece lining leaves more fluff on my convertible roof than when my cat.sleeps on it.
Cheap nasty covers sold at a premium price. AVOID!!!
