Scam - avoid!

As soon as my ad went live on autotrader I was txt'ed by a Vermont area code asking for vehicle info and insisting that the CarFax I posted in my ad was "missing details", and he sent me the link to digitalvinautomation. I told him I checked it out on trustpilot and there was no way I was giving that site my credit card or VIN info and he vanished like a puff of smoke. Scam site for sure, probably paying commission to fake buyers to drive sales of their "reports".

'Buyer' refused CarFax and insisted on…

'Buyer' refused CarFax and insisted on a digitalvinautomation report. Buyer's name was Jordan. Buyer insisted that he was prepared to travel and bring a friend but not until he received DV report. Googled his cel# 6474947502 and tried to call directly. Received message that indicated a voice to text message to be sent.

My guess, this is a digitalvinautomation employee attempting to gain information on my vehicle for nefarious purposes.

Fraud

Fraud, avoid.
Scammers target people selling vehicles, ask for a report and will not accept Carquest. They send a link they want you to use, which costs $$$ . They acquire your info.
