Bailey suffered from stomach ulcers…
Bailey (Red Fox Lab) suffered from stomach ulcers with underlying chronic gastrointestinal disease and we had to find a single protein source that Bailey could eat. After trying vetinery recommended foods that Bailey hated and started to refuse, we couldn't keep the sickness and diarrhea under control. we searched and searched the internet to find a suitable food and came accross Different Dog. After speaking to Alison the Vet there, who was absolutely amazing and even explained things to me that my own vet hadn't, we decided to give it a go. Bailey is now a different dog. Within days we could start to see the recovery. Yes, we have the odd blip but 99% of the time Bailey is back to normal. Bailey is currently on the White Fish recipe and he loves it. Always eats every last bit and is fed 3 times a day so his stomach isn't overloaded. Outstanding company, outstanding customer service and outstanding food. I honestly couldn't be happier starting this food after previously watching Bailey get worse. He has now been on this food 3 months and the change is incredible. Definitely recommend .... it's been life changing for myself and Bailey. Thank you.

Our Cocker Bassett puppy Bonnie 🐶 loves her Different dog meals. She’s not exactly a fussy eater , so it isn’t too surprising , but being a puppy she does have a delicate tummy and can be easily upset when she tries different things. None of the recipes have had a detrimental effect on her and she loves them all equally it seems. Also it makes us happy to know that she is getting all of the vitamins and nutrients she needs to grow into a healthy adult from these meals every day. 😊

High quality dog food that looks and smells great.
I have a VERY fussy bischon frise, who only likes human food. I mix different dog with some human, dog friendly food and he loves it. I am now finding that 3/4 of his food bowl is now different dog. Some people may argue that it is more expensive than other dog food, yes it is, however, you cannot argue with the quality. Our dogs are around for such a short time, I would want to optimize their health and well-being by giving them the best possible nutrition. Don’t forget, you can mix it. I am delighted that I have finally found something that my dog really loves!

Nutrition That Makes a Real Difference for Dogs with Cancer
When we received the devastating news that our beautiful boy Ludo, who is only 7, had terminal anal sac cancer, our world turned upside down. Alongside chemotherapy and radiotherapy, we wanted to do everything possible to support him, including finding the right food.
After his radiotherapy, he struggled with digestive issues, so finding food that could support him became a must. One of the hardest things we discovered was how little guidance there is for owners whose dogs are diagnosed with cancer. Dogs with specific needs in various cancers just aren’t talked about enough i the pet food industry, and there aren’t enough foods that clearly highlight the benefits of certain ingredients for those undergoing chemotherapy or similar treatments.
After days of researching ingredients and different options, Different Dog really stood out, the nutrition clearly supported Ludo’s needs better than anything else we could find. There are a few additional ingredients I wished it included, but we’ve been able to add those little extras to his meals, and it has made a real difference. I only wish there were more options like this, as otherwise owners are left trying to make specialised food from scratch during an already overwhelming time.
The customer service has been amazing, and the website is very user-friendly, making it easy to adapt meals each week. The reminders about payments and amendment cut-offs are also really helpful, which takes a lot of stress out of the process during an already difficult time.
Most importantly, Ludo absolutely loves the food. His digestion has improved significantly, and even his oncologist commented that it was a good choice to support him during treatment.
Yes, it is more expensive than many options, but the quality really shows — you truly get what you pay for. The environmentally friendly trays also show that this is a company that genuinely cares about what they do.
Right now, every moment with Ludo means everything to us. Knowing we’re giving him food that supports him through such a difficult time brings real comfort.
A genuine thank you to the team at Different Dog for creating nutritional food and caring so much about dogs’ health. We wanted to share our experience in the hope it helps other owners navigating a similar situation to chose a food that supports them xx

Doodles love Different Dog
My 2 Australian labradoodles love DD meals and I have definitely noticed an improvement in their energy levels. Although they were previously a bit picky and could 'take it or leave it' with their food, since being on DD, they both are eager to get to their bowls and every tiny bit is gone! There's a good variety of proteins and the veg is visible. Easy to store in the freezer. Glad we made the change!

Rubbery object in food, dog could of choked and they didn’t care
Within my second order of different dog, I received an order with a large chunk of what seemed to be plastic. The company responded stating its beef tendon which is a relief it wasn’t plastic. But given it was large enough and rubbery enough where my dog could have choked, the care I received from the company was highly disappointing. They couldn’t take full accountability and kept belittling and dismissing the issue, showed just how little they care for my dogs wellbeing. I cancelled my account and won’t be buying from them again. My dog hasn’t eaten for 24 hours since which is unlike her. If they had taken real accountability and care I would have possibly given them another chance, but it’s clear in their responses to me that they do not care about what’s happened and just want to dismiss it to avoid admitting the scale of the issue. Be very careful buying from them, as they won’t look after your dog even if their mistakes could have harmed them.

I'm really sad to hear that the team didn't handle your call well, and that your dog's wellbeing didn't seem to be their number one priority. We will listen back to the recordings of the calls and follow up with the team as appropriate. Usually they are brilliant in this respect, but clearly on this occasion we have let ourselves down and we must learn from that.
I'll need to look into the detail of this, but almost certainly the item in question is a piece of heart, an ingredient we use in a number of our recipes. I agree that heart is slightly rubbery in both texture and appearance. All our protein does pass through an 8mm mincer plate, with the goal of ensuring that no large chunks end up in your dog's bowl. I will look into the specifics here and we will get to the bottom of this. The quality and safety of our food is, of course, a highest priority for us.
We are always happy to take accountability for the food we send you, and we will fully refund your box given you are clearly very disappointed with the product and service you have received.

Alex and I set up Different Dog to change dogs' lives with real food. Clearly in this instance we haven't achieved that. I hope in time you might consider giving us a second chance.

I have been getting Different Dog now for a few months for my VERY fussy pup and she absolutely loves it. Before Different Dog she would sniff her food and leave it, which was not nice knowing she didn’t want to eat her food. Now she is super excited for her meal times!!
The food is super good quality, it smells good enough to have for your own dinner 😂
The website is really easy to use, I have made a couple of changes within her subscription and it updates immediately. All deliveries I’ve had so far have been on time and always packed with care.

Different Dog lives up to the name! My dog Lottie has had a lot of issues with her digestion and vomiting, we've been back and forth to the vets so many times and I have tried her on so many different foods, some she hated and some she seemed to like but weren't doing anything to improve her health.
Then I came across Different Dog and decided to give them a go as the reviews were good, and from the moment I put this food down she didn't even hesitate to eat it all up! She absolutely loves it and her health has improved significantly! No more vomiting and she looks forward to every meal 🥰

I opted for the toppers. I received my first delivery yesterday in time for my Frenchie's dinner so this is very early days but WOW, he ate it all up, licked the bowl clean and was hunting for scraps around the bowl! He gets a lot of skin irritations (typical Frenchie) so will see how he goes but so far it's 5 stars from Ruaridh :)

Fabulous start for a puppy
Always find the website easy to use, so that if I need to change/add anything to my order it is really easy.
We have had our puppy on Different Dog since she came to live with us at 9 weeks old, transitioning from raw food to Different Dog was so smooth.
She absolutely loves this food and definitely looks forward to meal times. Can't say she has a favourite because she loves all the dishes, but we have removed the chicken meals from her diet as this appears to make her itch. We will try and reintroduce this at a later date.
The treats are a delight too, work wonders for puppy training. Again, these are so easy to add/remove from the order online.
All in all we are incredibly impressed with this company and feel that it has given our puppy a great start in life.

Amazing food
Amazing food - My dog loves this, I even get hungry when i serve it to her! Great receipes and never once left any - licks plate clean. Its a tad expensive to be her main food - but we get a few each month to treat her.

I ordered 2 trial packs as my new girl was being really fussy with food. She licked the plate clean.
I then had a tailored plan as she needed to loose weight too.
Customer service is excellent as I had a couple of issues, which were resolved quickly
Not the cheapest but I understand good quality costs and it takes away me cooking home food and making sure my dog has all the benefits
