I subscribed for a year for my spouse as it was recommended by our Dr for his diabetes, but a few days later, he ended up in the hospital for a month. He came out with a feeding tube. The app is a waste to us now. Apperently they have a non refundable policy but will refund in certain situations but they won't refund because I paid with a debit card instead of an app.

Fantastic site!
I was diagnos with prostate cancer and diabetes and started googling for advice when i found this site.
Started Keto immidiately and after 6 months i had lost 20 kilogram, my bloodsugar was normal, my bloodpressure went down to normal, my cholesterol are far more better and the inflammation-marker CRP and insulin levels went down to normal.
And a new world of amazing food and recipes appered.
Amazing! Absolutely amazing!
Dont listen to those that warns of this site, do your own conclusions. I do with regularly bloodtest....

Be careful with Diet Doctor Plus. I believed I canceled during the free trial and never used the service again, but they continued charging my card for 3 years (2023–2025) without my knowledge. They refused a refund even after proof I did not use the subscription. Unethical renewal practices. Avoid.

I have to update my correspondence with Diet Doctor. In all fairness to Diet Dr. my problem has been fixed. I have changed my fees to being charged monthly instead of yearly. And, my yearly fee of $119.00 is supposedly being credited back to my card. Having said all this, I want to state I will continue my journey with Diet Dr. since I am able to pay monthly which is a $14.95 charge which works better for me as I do not need a year with the website. The recipes are very good. The communication should have been better but as stated, D.D. did fix the problem.

Was not working for me so cancelled after a year in 2022. They've tried to take the subscription every year since and my bank has blocked the company to prevent them requesting any more funds

Had never even heard of this company until they charged my account $119.00. I never signed up for anything they offer. I never gave them any banking information they just stole it somehow. 100% crooks.

Cheated. Money has been drawn from my account and I haven’t agreed to anything and haven’t received anything. Can’t contact anyone as there is no telephone nr that works

Such a shame that a company that I thought was reputable, resorts to underhand ways to gain a years membership money.
I wanted to pay monthly after the free trial and was anticipating to hear from the company with that option, but sadly the whole amount was debited.
It's not going to break the bank, but it has broken my trust in diet doctor and I am left with a rather nasty taste in my mouth (pardon the pun - at least it's low carb).
I have cancelled renewal but thought I would have the option at the end of the trial and was checking out my email for options.
I can't really understand this sort of business plan?! It's the sort of sneaky tactic that shady companies use in the hope that busy stressed people will forget to cancel; because they know the product wont stand up long term, so they have to grab whilst they can.
It could be because they don't have much new information to offer and the site risks getting as stale as a bit of old bread. Another pun..! However, there isn't much fresh information on the site.
I have written to them as I wanted to pay monthly, for more flexibility. I am guessing that they will hold firm on not allowing me to move to a monthly plan for the aforementioned reasons.
I can't speak about the company in a positive way or recommend them. I work for the NHS; I am going to be clear that there are other sites that are free and to get recipes and insights elsewhere.
NB. I was pleasantly surprised by this response and setting up my monthly direct debit to Diet Doctor has left me feeling that I want to continue. I have altered my stars to reflect that experience accordingly and like the flexibility of a monthly plan. The parts I find most helpful are the recipes with the macros and being able to keep those on diet doctor. I have noticed there are some new plans including additional support, which I hadn't seen. I revisited some of the material from previous visits. Would love to see some more inspirational stories.
Thank you.

I love the app and want to join but for some reason the app keeps kicking me out and I can’t get back in. I thought it was a problem with my trial but I’ve now started the trial about three times and I worry I’m going to be charged three times!! I don’t understand why it doesn’t save all my info and doesn’t recognise me as being a member.

I cancelled my trial of diet doctor only to find days later I was charged full price for their program which I didn't approve. So be very careful with with this company.

Be careful, they charge you money for things you have not accepted, do not use this app.

Changed to 5 stars.
As I had emailed Diet Doctor and they got back to me within a few hours and refunded my money.
Good communication and very happy they refunded my money.
Signed up for the free trial but didn’t use the app. No notification of the free trial coming to an end and payment would be taken. Only an email thanking me for my payment and next payment in a years time. As they automatically sign you up for payment to come out the next year.
I did check my Apple subscription a few times to cancel but no information there about subscription so though it would be okay.
Only found out with the email when payment was taken that it was through PayPal. Too late to cancel it, but managed to cancel the renewal.
Wont hold my breath for a refund.

I only wanted to try it out for a year. They will set it up to auto renew without your knowledge. They will not send an email that its coming up and they will take the money from your account so you do not have the chance to cancel. When you ask for a refund they say its their policy not to refund. It should be optional to auto renew and not forced on the customer! Its all sneaky and a way to pocket your money! From the other reviews its a habit of theirs and they have the pat script they send you that you will not get a refund.
Awful company!!!!!

I am amending my one star review to five stars because this company responded promptly to my request for a refund. I do find it puzzling that I have no record of any communications with them prior to their announcement that they billed me for 119 dollars, but since they refunded my money so easily and promptly I will cut them some slack. Thank you Trustpilot for being a venue in which customers can vent their aggravation as well as sing the praises of companies doing a great job! You are the conscience of online marketers everywhere ; )

This is a website I would definitely recommend if there had been a reminder for the renewal. Unfortunately, I did not even have any recall of how to be able to cancel it on time. A few weeks after signing up for the free trial (mainly for keto recipes ideas) , I checked on my phone (account/subscriptions) and I did not see the Diet Doctor subscription. Therefore, I thought that I had done something to cancel it on time. I was in shock when I saw the charge of $119 US in my bank account a few days ago. I live in Canada so it came to a total of 166$ CA, and I did not even take advantage of the free trial.
I think the least that Diet Doctor should have in place for an automatic renewal is charging the following month but not the full year. Unfortunately, very disappointed.

Thank you for your reply and customer support with my situation. Would it be possible please to re-send the email that you wrote you have sent? I have not received any email 2 days ago from Diet Doctor as you have indicated. (after also checking my junk email). As a matter of fact, the only emails that I have received so far from Diet Doctor are the ones referring to a password reset only. Is there a reason why I am not receiving the other emails from you? If it is ok to answer you from this site, I would like to cancel please my subscription and receive a refund.
Thank you in advance

Charged me $119.00 USD through my Pay Pal. I remember cancelling the request of my Free Trail, God Knows what happened it never went through. Did not use their service even for a single day in the 30 day trial period. Suddenly I received this email that keep enjoying welcome onboard and they charged me 119 USD. I am amazed how they operate. Shouldnt they first send a reminder about renewal ? What a process ? Failing your customers and innocent people. They call it Customer Failure instead of Customer Success keep away from them never start a free trial. Robbery going on.

I'm always cautious about companies that offer free trials but ask for your details, as this is a way to easily get a first payment when the person likely forgets to cancel in time.
I enjoyed my trial, but it wasn't right for me currently, so I canceled and asked for my account to be closed, to which they replied and said they would.
Since they have attempted multiple times to charge me $119, it's been a week since my account was closed, and they have just tried again today.
Always use virtual cards when signing up for trials, as companies like this won't honor the cancellation.

I have been a member for 3 years, but in 2024 your updated website locks me out after logging in whenever I try to access my favourite recipes, videos and other features I used to use. Your Customer Service team is unable to find the cause. So I have been paying for services which are blocked for months. I have changed passwords, cleaned my web history etc as suggested, but nothing works....................................................................................
Following on from the reply from dietdoctor.co, I have been waiting for several months for the Customer Service person, Piotr Sabaranski, has tried to solve the problem back in July, but nothing changed and there is no forthcoming help. Since I have lacked access to the members' features since then, I want a refund of 50% the $99 paid in 2/2 2024. I also want to cancel the automatic payment order and stop my subscription since the website is useless to me now.
