Pathetic customer service department

Pathetic customer service department. Did not notify of the auto payment bouncing and without notifying recharged the account again. This time received notification stating that there were 2 trials to charge the account and they charged the NSF fee and when spoken to the Customer Service they referred to Billing department and they would not waive off the NSF fee. First time the payment bounced and upon requesting they are just straight up rude. Please do not go with these guys. They just increase the premium no matter if you have clean record. Money mongering company. Thats all these guys are. Stay away from these scavengers.

Terrible Experience with Desjardins Group

I had a credit card application rejected with absolutely no explanation. Despite multiple attempts, I received no response, no resolution, and no guidance from their team. This was a complete waste of my time, especially considering my excellent credit score. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend dealing with Desjardins if you expect transparency or support.

Stay Away - Simply Terrible Experience

I had been a loyal customer for 5 years of travel insurance. When an eye surgery occurred on vacation they simply stalled and refused to pay. They believe that the amount (I only claimed the surgery and no incidentals) was low so they could simply ignore it. I litigated it and they still delayed. Stay away from this company. My opinion is they are very unethical.

Terrible Customer Service

Absolutely disgusted by the so called "Customer Service" at Desjardins Insurance. We were finally contacted by Desjardins after we thought our policy had been automatically renewed, only to be told that our policy was cancelled and a reinstatement fee would be required. We paid it because we had no other choice, but after this experience, we will be shopping around for an insurance company with decent customer service. Incredibly disappointed with these people!

Waste of time

Waste of time. I completed all of the paperwork to transfer my funds out of desjardins and they never sent me my RRSPs or notified me that I still had RRSPs with them. When I called to correct the issue, they placed blame on my requesting institution and said too bad, while they took years of admin fees. Wasted numerous hours on the phone with them all to just lose those funds and close my account. When I asked to speak to a manager they said their policies wouldn't allow that and I would have to submit a complaint. However, if I submit a complaint, then they won't close my account. Went around and around in circles with them never taking any accountability. Would never work with them again!

No trust, I received an message regarding my…

I received an message regarding my banking some years ago regarding data breach, I got on it right away I was to call lawyer spoke on the telephone for many many hours to this lawyer (pc mastercard, a card that someone applied for under my name) and Equifax.. Spoke to lawyer several times giving new info and dates from Equifax she informed me that there would be compensation for those who were affected (she called me again and said I wasn't affected) I was shocked I told her oh OK so it just so happen pc mastercard just called me and then this at the same time now that's a big coincidence isn't it (I'm assuming desjardins didn't really want to compensate... Now to yesterday Oct 2025 I received a call from an OPP telling me my identity was compromised yet again apparently during the first identity theft these scammers sold my info to criminals but they r using it for online gambling sites for credit, called my bank again to see if I could get in touch with someone who can help me called 4 times and 4 times call went dead I would never deal with this bank DO NOT open an account with this bank and I hope Desjardins sees this and contacts me because you can't get through to them I spent 3 hours on the phone explaining and explaining to the next person then again to next person... I hope this gets resolved with the OPP and now the waiting game starts......

“Exceptional Service and Trust — The Miras Difference!”

Anastasio Miras and his team are amazing! They PROVE that Desjardins is a good investment choice by being Professional, Respectful, Valuable, and earning your Trust. The service is very very very slow and…

The service is very very very slow and there is no accountability. My personal financial rep at the Pointe Claire branch takes weeks to move; he doesnt call back or respond to emails timely. When I called the branch to complain, they took details and asked me to hold on until they can open a case. I was put on hold for 35 minutes just to open a case .... if this is the amount of time it takes them to open a case, what the hell am I complaining about!

One of worst worst companies I have had…

One of worst worst companies I have had to deal with in my life !!!! Put you on hold for hours and hours on end !!!also lie saying they can’t cancel a transaction you do from your own account with your own money !!! I will be letting and posting on all Social Media Platforms about this they need to better train their STAFF about customer service . It doesn’t even deserve 1 STAR .

Breach of marketing regulations

This company has bombarded me with emails. A breach of the Privacy and Electronics Communications Regulations.
I do not know who they are and how they managed to get my personal information.
They have applied cookies without consent and placed trackers in my search which thankfully have been blocked.
Having visited their website, I discovered they are a French based company dealing with insurance, banking and other issues.
What they are doing is illegal and a total breach in compliance with data protection laws. I have reported them to the requisite bodies.

Fast and efficient

I had a small accident the saturday, with all my 4 kids. The sunday everything was done by Desjardins insurrance, the process is very smooth and easy. I'm waiting for the appointment for replace some parts but until now i'm having a great experience with Desjardins. Even today, day of labour day, desjardins contacted me for replace all the kids seats at the actual value of it. Just Amazing.

Going in circles

I've had to do repeat calls to Desjardins for the same purpose and there is no record between the calls. Agents do not seem to know what they are doing and have advised me wrong multiple times. I've repeated the same process and still don't have a result. I want to move my business away from Desjardins.

Awful services at Desjardins, I asked for a money transfer from my pension plan to another institute and it took over 3 weeks to get it done!!!! I called them 4 times and they keep giving me excuses without any outcome!!! stay away from them.

Insurance Quote not Honoured

Very disappointed with Jamie Grabell, Desjardins Insurance Agent (Toronto) and Desjardins Insurance (Customer Service, Dissatisfaction Handling Team). I received a quote for vehicle insurance. Then five days later, when I went to finalize it, the annual price had gone up, “just a slight increase” Jamie said, but it was $552 more annually. Apparently, the insurer/Jamie Grabell/Desjardins does not need to honour a quote. It can be changed, by them, at will and with no evidence nor reason provided. In what other industry can a quote be changed with no explanation given? Then, upon cancellation, as a result of this unfounded increase, I am charged “an early termination fee”. We had been with State Farm and then Desjardin for decades. Given this experience, I would not recommend Jamie Grabell, nor Desjardin Insurance.

I spend 8 hours on multiple calls to customer service stuck on hold everytime for over an hour each time, no one answers - does anyone actually work there?
Lost hours of my life and still cannot fix my issue because no one ever answers the call.

I’ve always had great service with this…

I’ve always had great service with this bank. Customer service is quick to call you back when you need their help. Recently my credit card was temporarily blocked and in a matter of minutes it was resolved.
