Designer Minds brings STEAM learning to life for kids all over Ireland, and our summer camps are proof of it. Across every session, children get hands-on with science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths in ways that feel like play rather than a classroom. One day they're mixing slime and oobleck to explore the chemistry of polymers, the next they're building and programming their own LEGO robots, tackling Minecraft maths challenges, or bringing their own stories to life through stop-motion animation. Every activity is built around real experimentation and problem-solving, so kids aren't just consuming technology, they're learning to create with it. What sets Designer Minds apart is the balance between structured learning and genuine fun. Instructors are passionate about STEAM and give each child personalised attention, encouraging curiosity rather than just following instructions. Activities are designed for teamwork and collaboration, so children build communication skills alongside technical ones, and all camps have some small projects the child gets to take home, giving them something tangible to be proud of. Parents consistently tell us their kids come home excited to talk about what they made or discovered that day, not just what they did. Beyond the projects themselves, camps create a genuine sense of community. Children form friendships built on shared excitement and discovery, in an environment of mutual respect that makes camp feel like an adventure rather than an obligation. Whether a child is into robotics, art, coding, or science experiments, Designer Minds camps are built to spark curiosity across the board. It's STEAM education that doesn't feel like education, delivered by people who genuinely love teaching it, and it's why families keep coming back year after year.

Excellent Summer Camp

Designer Minds in Carrigaline was a very interesting and fun experience for my daughter as a summer camp, she loved the experiments and was excited to go in each day. As it is a half-day camp, we paired it with the local gymnastics camp that week.

Really fantastic experience for my son

My son had never been to a camp like this before, and loved each day. He was bursting with excitement each day to tell us what activities he did. He went from giving the camp 5 stars out of 5, to 6, and then 7, out of 5. That is about all that needs to be said about how well this camp went. Seemingly all the people facilitating this camp were also very nice. Thanks and well done!

BEST CAMP EVER!!

A really really enjoyable week. My son came out every day delighted with life, full of new information on the days topics, his only downside was the day was too short!!
Loved every minute of it and wanted to book in for next years camp straight away. ‍", Lorraine

Fantastic camp!

My son attended the camp again this year and loved it! There was a great range of tasks and activities (that change and vary every year). The team leaders are fantastic and ensure everyone participates. There are lots of group activities so children are encouraged to mix and make new friends. It's a fantastic way to spend time discovering, experimenting, learning and having fun. I would highly recommend it! ‍", Michelle, Chapelizod

My son had the best time at this camp and could not have been more positive in his feedback - the activities were fun and exciting, the leaders were great, and the opportunity to play outside at break times was a bonus of the venue!

Designer Minds makes learning fun

Our ten year old son loved every minute of this camp and was sad when the week ended. In his own words 'why can't school be more like that?' Every day was packed with fun activities. The leaders were friendly, enthusiastic and supportive. Every child came out happy and full of chat about programming robots, building skyscrapers, launching rockets or whatever cool and fun activity they had engaged in that day. I got more information on that one week of camp than I usually do in a full school year. We can't recommend highly enough. Fun, learning and a reasonable cost - what more could you ask for? ‍

The boys absolutely loved the hands on experiments particularly the egg challenge and bacteria on the agar plates. The keva planks, light bot, robotic coding and stop motion were also massive hits. A camp I would highly recommend to friends and family and one we will definitely do again!

My son absolutely loves this camp

My son absolutely loves this camp! He did it last year too. He didnt know anyone starting it, and because he was placed in a small group of 2 to 4 kids, it was much easier making friends. I'm definitely signing him up for next year!

My son absolutely adored his time at…

My son absolutely adored his time at Designer Minds STEAM Summer camp. He came home buzzing every single day, full of chat about all the amazing activities. My son is only 7 and didn’t attend with anyone else he knew. However, he made friends really easily as the camp was designed to help children make connections. My son would give the camp 200/10!! 🤩 He’s already talking about next year, so we’ll definitely be back! I would highly recommend this camp to anyone. We’ve tried a few now and this is by far the best and totally worth the money. Thanks for a wonderful week. ‍
