Bought a Dell XPS 13 (9370)laptop from…

Bought a Dell XPS 13 (9370) laptop from the Irish (Dublin) branch in Nov 2022 - Order No E5510519 with 6 month warrantee.

Everything seemed OK for a few months but then the main battery started failing rapidly, and after the DFS-recommended diagnostics, they gave me £50 towards a new battery, and that was "reasonable".

The warrantee expired in May 2023 but in early August it stopped booting at all, and, after some research, that appeared to be an expired RTC/CMOS battery, which, after some problems finding a correct replacement online, I replaced - but then the laptop wouldn't boot AT ALL most of the time!

Finally tracked that down to a physically-failed ON/OFF button - it depresses too far and only makes the contact once in about 5-10 pushes. Then, when it does actually work, the keyboard was found to be completely inoperative, even after attempts at all sorts of s/w fixes and then finally running the Windows Recovery process!

Therefore it now needs (at least!) a new Power Button assembly and a new keyboard, replacement of either/both of which require almost total disassembly of the laptop! OTOH, if I want to use the laptop in the meantime I firstly have to persuade it to boot up and then use an external keyboard - that's totally not ideal for a small "carry anywhere" laptop!

I fully understand that the 6-month warrantee has expired, but, IMHO, this laptop was effectively "worn-out" before I got it, and thus should not have been sold to me in the first place! Needless to say, I am unlikely to buy any more computers from DFS!

Great and Trustable!

Ordered a refurbished desktop all in one from their Canadian site. Customer service is great, and package arrived. PC is all good. Package did come 1 day late due to Canada post strike, so Purolator had package overhaul.
