Very low costs for account and transactions
The account is free of charge. And the transaction costs are very low. For selling and buying Swiss stocks I pay like 3 bucks. In Switzerland I would pay 150 CHF for a transaction of 20'000 CHF. And transaction taxes... Sorry, I will not trade Swiss stocks on the Swiss Stock Market. This is a bad joke!!!

Fast, easy to use for novice
Have been using this as a novice investor, and have to say it is very easy to use. It's got everything I need to buy ETFs (the only thing I buy), website and app seem secure (MFA) and are responsive. Am a happy customer!

Transacting made easy
Tried a few websites. DEGIRO is easy to manage on PC and the app is sufficient for in between. Transactions have been very smooth and easy as well. Have moved more trading volume to DEGIRO since April 2025.

No issues so far. It's all smooth and easy to understand. The features I need are explained in videos, and the trading has been very straightforward.

Horrible service for portfolio transfer and not international
Horrible service to transfer your portfolio to another broker. Responses and actions to emails takes weeks, so slow that other brokers already close the requests. Transfering money out of your.account takes more than a week and can only be done in the base currency, not flexible in an international environment.

Normally, the time it takes to complete a transfer depends on many things, such as the direction of the transfer, the complexity of the portfolio and delivery routes, the availability of the products on both trading platforms as well as the time the parties involved need to process the transfer completely.
This means, that a portfolio transfer could be completed in a matter of days, but we have also seen it taking more than a month. We strive to complete your portfolio transfer in three weeks, but we cannot guarantee this.
