De Fryske maakt de allerlekkerste kaas, maar doet dat met een duidelijk doel: het duurzaam veranderen van het zuivelsysteem. Om te bewijzen dat het wél kan – kaas maken waar de natuur beter van wordt – zijn we zelf kaasmaker geworden. We zijn namelijk doeners, niet alleen maar roepers. Samen met onze boeren roeien we vrolijk tegen de stroom in. We gaan beter om met ons land en onze koeien. We maken ambachtelijke kaas met geduld. Hebben een eigenwijze eigen smaak. En een aanstekelijk enthousiasme. Door de Fryske te eten, steun je onze koppige poging om de zuivelwereld te bewijzen dat het wél kan: op zo’n manier kaas maken dat de natuur herstelt, de boer fatsoenlijk verdient en zowel de koe als de weidevogel gelukkig is.
