Were is my phone????

I have paid my excess and sent of phone in good faith. Was told to expect it back in 5 days at most but most likely 3 as damage was easy repaired. I am now on day 7 without my phone. They have ignored my simple request to update me on my device. No customer service. No communication. Also excess fee is not very clear when purchasing policy. £75 !!! could have got it fixed myself for this price. Surprised at Debenhams assumed they would have been more professional

Useless and covers nothing !

Pity I can't leave no stars as they deserve a minus !
We used Debenhams last year and unfortunately my husband was admitted to hospital for the majority of our Orlando stay , the main part was dealt with direct from the day he was rushed in and although , a few months later we were chased for money by the hospital as they hadn't been paid , plus we had to pay for a report from the doctor as they said it was a pre existing condition which it certainly was not , it was reassuring that we were covered . As they cover cruise we decided to renew for this year and paid extra for gadget cover . Unfortunately a light fingered employee decided to help themselves to our camera from our hotel room , we checked out leaving my camera on the table in our room after charging as was in a big hurry to drive to Miami to catch the ship , immediately we noticed I contacted our Virgin rep who in turn contacted hotel , assuming it would be safe and be with reception awaiting our contact , we were at Miami by then . We was told they had to speak to people some of which they couldn't yet contact and wouldn't be working til later in week etc , I had to keep checking back when Internet allowed from the ship at sea plus they advised we check all our luggage , there were 6 of us and might turn up , we knew however it had been left on the table of our locked and secure hotel room . When we arrived home in the UK and checked our luggage again , I got straight on to Debehams to report this , I've logged my camera and serial number everywhere possible to have any chance of getting it back , but as its stolen it's unlikely , a lost camera would have more chance with identifying photos etc but a stolen one would have card thrown or wiped by now . Apparently I am not covered ! I didnt report to police fast enough , though it had been with a crime number now , for a start I was boarding a cruise ship for a week so couldn't lodge a report in that city, and this I didn't as was waiting for hotel to do their searches as assumed cleaners would hand in . Debenhams claim that Items left in a hotel room while you are out are deemed as unattended although it's locked and secured , so in future everybody take every item you own out with you every day as nothing is ever covered , 'you left it unattended' , totally ridiculous . They say I lost it and couldn't count it as stolen . A trip Advisor search since our return shows hotel has had a similar thing happen before ! I am upset enough about losing it plus all my holiday photos and those of my parents , of my Dad who is poorly with COPD and will never be able to go abroad , let alone visit Space Kennedy ever again , now I am told I am not covered , so can't even replace my camera . The gadget cover is useless, what on earth is it for ?! I was taken sick aboard the ship and received treatment , no doubt they will get out of that too . Oh and no gift card either received until 2 months or repeated requests , nor did my 2 daughters who took out their own insurance . If our hotel door was smashed down they may have considered it , though a hotel room still isn't secure apparently , or if I was mugged and possibly hurt they may have allowed it . What scenario would have I been successfully able to claim , I know that , none , because they use every excuse not to cover it . Over 2 months of emails and letters back and forth to 'Rock Insurance' and still they do not allow it ! The gadget cover is therefore useless and I will never consider renewing with these cowboys again . Unless you don't value any of your items you wish to insure and can afford to pay for a cover that doesn't actually cover anybody or your gadgets , don't even entertain Debenhams costly and rubbish cover ! Fobbed off constantly and told to take to Ombudsman.

Simply awful

Simply awful
Months to get money back after apparently they don't have the right documents, then they do, then oops, they don't! Once I finally got my money back, my phone was lost and they refused to pay for it because the flat I lost it in wasn't broken it too.
I've cancelled my insurance and urge people please don't go with them, they find a way out of paying anything. I've been with barclays and protectmybubble and they're both better and cheaper.

Possibly the worse gadget insurance you could purchase, with long delays responding to claims and the feeling of finding any possible excuse not to meet claims.

Avoid at all costs - it's just as easy and less hassle to get insurance at poin of sale from most places who will honour claims. The insurance has nothing to do with Debenhams who will respond accordingly if you try to complain.
