Beautiful shoes
Quality is outstanding - butter soft leather, beautiful construction and craftsmanship. DF is my go-to shoe brand for timeless classics with a touch of edge. Lovely customer service as well.
I wear them everywhere!
I have hardly taken off my Dear Frances Park boots since I bought them as a Christmas present to myself! They are beautifully made, the leather is so, so soft, they are light but sturdy - everything you want in a street boot. They go with everything and I can’t see what other footwear I need now!
They arrived promptly in beautiful packaging.
My only tiny quibble is that the price on the website doesn’t include VAT but I took advantage of a site discount code that sorted things.
Dear Frances leather sandals peeling after several wears - worst experience ever.
The leather at the front of sandals I've purchase from Dear Frances is peeling after several (~5) wears. They look like a knock off from the market, with the black leather peeling, you can see actual pieces coming off or "hanging" from the shoes. It's embarrassing and outrageous for shoes marked at 350 USD.
Add a "." in the spaces to see what your shoes might look like after taking them out of the box and actually using them - this might be a bit much for them to actually be worn, beware.

I've contacted customer care at Dear Frances and received the following unbelievable response:
"I'm so sorry to see that your sandals have suffered some scuffs to the leather, this is most unfortunate and I appreciate how frustrating it can be when this happens to a much loved pair of shoes. We have looked at the images you provided and we can assure you that there is no quality fault in your sandals. This stye is made from a high quality Italian nappa leather and like all natural materials, leather is unfortunately subject to damages if scraped or scuffed."
+ a suggestion to go fix them at my own expanse at my local cobbler.
Know that you can pay 350 USD for a pair of sandals (Wrap Sandal on their website) have the leather peel after about 5 wears and they take *no responsibility* for the low quality of the leather on these sandals.
This is by far my worst shopping experience, and that's before even mentioning that they sent me 2 differently sized shoes to begin with, and I had to wait for weeks to get the proper pair b/c they also mishandled customs and had me go back and forth to settle all that they had filled out wrong when sending the replacement shoes.
I'm still shocked at this experience and the careless response I've received. Expect disappointment, low quality leather, and even worse quality customer care when shopping with Dear Frances.
I'll will update this review with additional information if and when DF team decides to treat their customers with respect, unless I've explicitly responded here - do not trust their response saying "we've contacted you over email". If they say something reasonable other than "so sorry you're disappointed" and actually take action - I'll be more than happy to add their action to resolve the matter here.
