Worst company ever. Automatic renewals with opaque methods to cancel. Non existent customer service. Baffling website, by design. Most companies, when an auto renew is about to happen, send a reminder email. I got no such email.

Last December I requested for one of my domains to be cancelled as I didn't want to renew it in the new year. After sometimes waiting up to 10 days for email replies Jimdo did cancel the domain and adjusted the amount I'm to pay for this year's bill. I requested an invoice but didn't receive one. This was January 23rd. Now my website is blocked and I can't even access it to find an invoice. In effect, I'm being punished for not paying an invoice I requested but didn't receive. I urgently need my website to run and have no way of contacting Jimdo as they offer no phone number and can take weeks to respond to emails. I'm a long term customer - 15 years - and I have to say that this company isn't what it used to be.
After posting this I was told that my invoice and reminders had been sent to a defunct email address so mystery solved although I had no idea it was my responsibility to change email addresses for invoicing

Images (thumbnals) were not - clicking up - / enlarging when clicked. The issue has been resolved. It seems to have resplved iself(?) The next day it was back to normal. One issue is that on most of the images of painting that I add to Jimdo, I also include via the -list- setting- title, dimensions, price etc. which is senn when the thumbnail is clicked on. It used to be that this information would appear at the bottom of the image in -white- type- making it very east to view the information. Currently and for no apparent reason, if the information appears at all, it is at the top of the image in black type, making it very difficult to see. Jimdo is great and continues to be so. Thank you.

I waited a month for anyone to get back to me. In that time, my subscription expired, and because I wasn't paying anymore they said they wouldn't help.
Don't bother getting a domain through them they will not give you dns records if you wish to transfer and most do not accept their epp code for transfer.
I lost my domain, I tried to repurchase it but it wasn't available to me anywhere else and they did not help.

Horrible experience. The shop page building is a restrictive nightmare and is not recommendable. On top a totally useless AI Assistent.

We use it professionally. I was happy with the site builder and for years we had no issues at all until recently. I had to contact customer service because we were not aware of a change that was being made from Jimdo's side din address (they say they notified) and our email and website stopped working all of a sudden. Jimdo's customer service was unreacheable, you can only write them, and they take time to respond, we lost emails sent to us during two days in the middle of important project communications. We ended up finding out through our domain provider Hostalia wich did actually have an accessible and nice phone customer service, they pointed to the issue and we finally solved it. Because our email was inaccessible to us we could not have received Jimdo's replies anyway even if they did reply so I was frustrated and quite dissapointed. Even if the problem would have been my fault, I could not reach them to find the solution so it was very frustrating experience. The replies which we read later some were pointless so we were wondering if there was an actual person reading our message, eventually some appropiate response came but days later and, mind you, came to our inaccessible email. In a professional setting were important communications can get lost forever I think all this is not ok.

used Jimdo for my site, decided I no longer needed it. Their auto-renewal charged me $156 on Feb 5, 2026, for another full year—despite me contacting support the same day to cancel, explaining I never received the renewal reminder email (likely spam-filtered).
Support's initial canned response mentioned a 14-day revocation window for refunds, but a human rep (Peter) later denied it, citing their strict rule: cancellations must be 30+ days before renewal. No prorated refund, no compromise offered even though I said I'd accept paying for one month or a discount to keep it. Responses were delayed (weeks) and felt templated, with no real empathy or flexibility.
This feels like a bait-and-switch: low intro pricing hooks you, then rigid terms lock you in for unused service. I was willing to meet halfway, but they stuck to the contract verbatim. Now pursuing a chargeback. Avoid if you value fair customer service—plenty of builders with better policies.
Nowadays anyone can use AI - download Cursor, Antigravity (Google) it can build you a site, host on Github for free and call it a day. Companies like Jimdo days are numbered and the industry should adapt and take care of customers before they go extinct.

My website has not been published. I believe that Richard is working on it or I hope so. My website has not published for over a week. It's a bit frustrating. I haven't received any information since the 12th, so I am not sure why you are asking about my experience, while the ticket should still be open.

Emails were bouncing back to some specific senders. It took over 2 weeks and several contact efforts to get Jimdo to fix the situation. Not an acceptable response.

It is hard to get help when something goes wrong. There is no person available to talk to. No chatfunction. There is the option to open a ticket. Ticket are not promptly responded to. Also the answers you get there and not very satisfying leaving you with the task to ask another question and that leaves you waiting for another few days to get another, often not satisfying question.
Also there seems to be no product development in the product. No real new features etc the last few years. It is running behind and all other major players in the market.

This business is completely unethical and duplicitous, someone should report them. They prey on businesses outside of Germany who have no legal ability to report them to German authorities, meanwhile, they invoice them for services when customer service is completely non existent and the service is effectively unusable and actually bad for one's business. They are completely corrupt.
Edit: A professional contact and colleague of mine was a customer of theirs who has received repeated billing and now collection invoices for services he and his business have been unable to use because they cannot login. In order to contact customer service, you need to be able to login. However, every attempt to reset passwords and to reactivate the account have been made to no avail. I stepped in to assist and tried to contact Jimdo myself, going as far as to email and send physical mail, and repeatedly called their business in Germany. It is absolutely abhorrent that they will reply to these trust pilot reviews but can't be bothered to manually reply to emails for help, you will only get automated email system responses that do not help you with reactivating an account or resetting a password.
