Hosting Dodgy Sites

Dodgy websites seem to be using this DDoS protection service to remain anonymous. Other internet users also reporting similar things. Avoid using this service and choose a trusted DDoS service.

DDoS-Guard is a very competitive…

DDoS-Guard is a very competitive service for Network Protection. Their "On-Demand" plan is perfect for use in production, replacing RTBH. Also, our network infrastructure is now protected from DDoS, with a scrubbing up to +3Tbps (according to DDoS-Guard's website). I intend to remain a customer.

This is the worst experience

This is the worst experience. They assign Russian IP addresses to your websites. As a result, the domain is unavailable from some countries. They refuse to refund your money. They impose expensive rates. Stay away from them; at best, you will simply lose $100.

These are all about the money

These are all about the money, money, money. A client of mine (I am a Developer) paid over 300$ a month for a VPS, and over 500$ in support tickets. He had the host for several months.

In 16 July 2025 he performed a Server Restart from UI interface and all the websites hosted there were not responding at all. I mean dead. No DNS, no NS, no A records, nothing.
The support couldn't do anything, leaving the client waiting for 1 day without doing anything, and blame it on the DNS not resolving, when they knew it was clearly a problem on their side.

Terrible experience, I don't recommend.

hub for child porn

protect cybercriminals posting and selling nonconsensual child porn and child abuse imagery, don't respond to abuse emails or complaints and don't take down content that violates laws, including Russian laws

Warning: they block YOU if you complain about criminal activity!

Like many others, I wrote both to abuse@ ddos-guard.net and from their online form at ddos-guard .net/en/abuse about two pages in a website they host that are both a matter of copyright infringement (because they display videos that I created) and privacy (because I appear in said videos).
DDoS-Guard don't reply, don't act...they don't even send you an automated message telling you they're taking care of the matter and giving you a ticket number. It's worse than that: they themselves know that emails received at those contacts are treated like trash by DDoS-Guard, as the agents in the live chat, even after many days, tell you that their best recommendation is to just write to abuse@ ddos-guard.net over and over again, completely disregarding your past reports.

UPDATE - 2 August 2024
So, immediately after my justifiably negative review, the only "update" I got was them blocking my IP and the domain of my emails (it's a personal domain), so as not to be "bothered" anymore with notifications of criminal activity in their websites.
What I find even less professional was that they blocked my IP from accessing the infringing site, in a really childish and laughable attempt to make me think that they took down the whole site and that the issue was over.

Quopi claim DDOS-Guard have stolen…

Quopi claim DDOS-Guard have stolen Users funds from Quopi, in the Latest Update. They are either in bed with scammers or have embezzled users funds via that platform.

DDoS-Guard needs to make a response to this. until then this company needs boycotting.

They will just steal your money

They will just steal your money my dear..
In the beginning you will not face any problems, and with the passage of time you will find problems with your servants and to fix them they will ask for more money, and with the passage of some time you will find more and more problems, then they ask you more money...
with very careful you will be robbed.
Be careful or don't deal with them at all.

this is a very very bad hosting!

this is the worst hosting I have seen up to now
their support is tribble
they steal your money if they see your website is working good for some months
if you use their hosting for 1 or 2 month it is not bad
when your website grow and grow
they ask for more money for VPS hosting or other ...
otherwise they block and close your website without any warning and ask 500$ from you to open your website again!
please save your money and your website from this very bad hosting
Please use another hosting
please !

Absolutely terrible and unfunctional

I tried DDoS Guard for my site that has an API. Even after the DDoS Guard support adjusted the site, the API still couldn't be accessed during DDoS attacks. Given the API was the majority of my site, it was important it didn't go down.

I expressed my concerns to DDoS guard and they acted like this was somehow my fault and said they couldn't do anything further. I then asked for a refund and was denied. I had only used DDoS guard for a day and a half.

I wouldn't recommend. When transferring to DDoS guard it took an hour for SSL to propagate, so an hour of customers not being able to contact the website. Dreadful experience and will surely make me stay away from them in future.
