We had good interactions with Davies & Co face to face, however they assured us that a sticking point in a possible location would not be a problem, when it was not in their power to guarantee anything. They also showed the space to another possible tenant and moved ahead without telling us - I'm sure that is commonplace but we were promised that we were the only potentials and we would be informed beforehand if it looked like that fact would change. Feel quite let down by Davies as they 'promised us the world' as it were, and it turned out that they had no power nor inclination to help us in our search for new office space. We are no longer moving forward with them and the whole experience has left a bad taste in the mouth! Be aware of who you are dealing with.
We had arranged a viewing and we arrived at the property but no agent turned up.
We rang the office and got told the person who had arranged to meet us had had to go off for a sudden personal reason.
I understand this, but asked why no-one had given us a call to let us know. I was told that no-one knew he was coming!
Apart from this being totally unprofessional, it raises security and legal care of duty questions. For those old enough to remember the Suzy Lamplugh case, to quote an example of how dangerous this is.
As a professional person and Company Director myself, it astounds me that a Company take such risks with their staff.
