As soon as we met David we felt as if we wanted to entrust my mother’s funeral arrangements to him. He was quick to respond to our enquiries, genuine and open, explained the services he could provide clearly and allowed us space to consider and make our decisions. We perhaps weren’t the easiest of customers at times as we had specific aims and wanted to write our own eulogy, plan the running order and the format and content of the Order of Service and needed to ensure the decisions we made met all our needs. David was patient, professional and true to his word to be available whenever we needed to contact him throughout the planning process. He made useful suggestions to allow us to consider options and achieve the celebration of life just as we envisaged it. The other members of the team were also helpful and professional and Caroline the celebrant recommended by David was exceptional. On the day we felt fully supported by David and his team. My brothers and I have no hesitation in fully recommending David Knowles Funeral Service.

David provided an impeccable, sensitive and professional service, it was second to none and contributed greatly to make my Father’s send off, a day of true celebration of his life.

He was very knowledgeable in recommending the services of Caroline Brown an excellent celebrant who was kind and superb throughout.
The arranging of the flowers and wake venue was all part of the service and quite perfect in every way, all very much appreciated by the whole family.

David is the kindest, most professional and genuine person I could have ever imagined in delivering a beautiful and respectful final goodbye to my dad.
At a most difficult time he listened, he understood and without any attempt to 'sell' allowed me to shape the goodbye as I wished.
He was attentive without being pushy, he kept me informed at all times and even just checked in to see if I was okay and needed anything.
David went above and beyond in caring for my dad and also in caring for me and my family.
My mum is currently in palliative care and when her time comes to go on her final journey I will walk that path with David for her too.

David provided us with a very professional, kind and caring approach, giving us information about the services available. He also walked us through the process of informing all parties who would need to know about the passing of our loved one.

He kept us informed at all stages of the process, progressing things for us if required, removing any additional upset from us. We are very grateful for the service and support he provided.

I lost my dad roughly a month ago - David and his team treated my dad with the utmost care and respect. I attended the funeral of a dear family friend which was organised by David and his team. Such a professional, dignified, personal and beautiful service delivered by someone who couldn’t do enough for the family and got them through one of the most difficult days of their lives. None of us truly know how we want to say goodbye to our loved ones. Through the upsets, hurting and pressures of just wanting to do our best for them, there is just so much to consider and to arrange. Having David there to gently and knowledgeably guide us through each and every step is beyond words of gratitude.
You can claim anything you want on websites and flyers but can you truly deliver? This is a man who can and will. Nothing has ben too much for David. His communication and keeping us in the loop was exceptional. Visiting our mam in his premises just felt so dignified and that she was with the right person.
On the day, to see his smile and calm just allowed everyone to breathe and allow him and his team to so calmly, professionally and caringly go about their business. To see him walk in front of the cars to the church was beautiful and so touching. We all commented on how cars stopped and people on the street quietly bowed. He united a community at the time when it was needed most.

After poor service from a nationwide/call centred funeral provider, David quickly rescued and took control of an unpleasant situation. He then went on to deliver a thoroughly comprehensive; compassionate and professional service. This included providing a worldwide live-stream of the funeral service including drone filming of the funeral procession to the church.

Feedback from those that attended in person and those that watched from afar was extremely positive and complementary. David’s care and attention to detail and sympathetic handling of my family’s requests is much appreciated. My family and I were lucky enough to have David by our side to guide us through such a sad time in our lives when our father past away almost 2 years ago.

In such a short space of time, David arranged the most beautiful and personal send off for our Dad. A day spent reminiscing with all those that cared for him and one that we will cherish forever.

David was with us every step of the way and even made a detour to walk in front of the hearse past the house we grew up in which was a lovely touch.
