We booked Datel Electrical to come and visit to give a quote on various electrical work we wanted doing.

Paul was late for the meeting, which wasn't particularly impressive.

We spent quite a long time with Paul explaining precisely what we wanted doing. He made no useful suggestions (for example regarding some external step lights we needed) and put the onus on us to search things out and provide information.

We e-mailed Datel Electrical with the information required and then we waited. Finally we received an e-mail from them asking if we were happy with the quote(!).

I e-mailed back immediately, saying (obviously) that we didn't have a quote but were waiting for a response to our e-mail.

Datel Electrical called back to fix another appointment - no explanation as to why this was necessary (although we suspect that Paul had forgotten all about the original appointment and what had been discussed). A date and time was agreed for the appointment but, in the confirmatory e-mail, the time was changed to a 'window' rather than the definite time agreed.

On the day, in the middle of the 'window', Datel Electrical telephoned to say that Paul was running late and wanted to move the appointment to another day. I explained that as there was no one living in the house concerned someone had gone there specially to meet Paul, but the resonse was along the lines of "Sorry about that, but I'm not the one responsible" and lightheartedly offhand.

I said that, with this sort of unproffesional behaviour when we hadn't actually given the job to Datel Electrical, we definitely didn't want to be in their hands for any job.

We are now, of course, looking for an alternative electrician.

Very poor, unprofessional behaviour.

It's a long time since I discovered such a professional company. Everything 5 star, friendly, professional, good pricing, good choices of products. Could not fault anything at all, well pleased. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using DATEL for 3 years. Owner Dave keeps a tight grip on things. The vans are immaculate, electricians know what they are talking about. The team turn up on time. Chris runs the front of house and is straight forward to work with. Fair prices and clear invoices. They have done work for my 89 year old mum and make allowances for limited mobility. Top company highly recommended for working with the elderly.

We regularly use Datel Electrical. They are highly skilled and reliable and do a great job. They are always great to work with and keep us informed about the job. Great value for money.

Very professional and thorough from Quote to the work being finished and payment being made. All of the staff involved were of a very high standard, personable and pleasant. The work done was perfect and worth every penny. Thank you we will use you again.

I found Datel staff very friendly professional and knowledgeable. They had high sickness levels but Peter still came to our house to ensure we had power and a workable kitchen over Christmas even though he was ill himself

Domestic ring main kept on blowing. 2 other companies attempted to sort out the issue. One phone call to Datel and an hour or so later 2 electricians at my door to attempt to rectify the problem. Inside a minute a very serious issue had been detected (missed by the other electricians...well, not quite...CAUSED by the other electricians FACT)...and then, within 10 minutes the underlying issue had been detected and sorted. No standing around and talking. Polite, mannered and courteous absolutely. I simply could not thank this company, nor the sparky's sent out enough. True rock stars. Cheapest, nah...best oh YEAH. Like my wife said to me, you pay peanuts and you get monkeys...simple as that. Me and my false economy had forked out to 2 guys before DATEL and paid the price...lesson learned. VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Dstel were great from the get-go. Efficient, prompt, knowledgeable, polite, and tidy. Time will tell about the work done but I can't fault the service.

Polite, efficient, honest and worked cleanly and quickly. The electrician was informative and highly skilled. He explained all the work he was doing and answered all questions directly. Would recommend this company highly if you want a good job done well and on time!!

I ordered 2 x Creda electric radiators, to replace 2 x old Dimplex storage heaters. Ryan, the engineer arrived on time, was very friendly and professional. Removed the old storage heaters and installed the new ones without any problems . Very efficient , would recommend this company .
