I had a disappointing experience with Darwin Recruitment regarding a contract opportunity in Florida. Based on the terms discussed, I traveled for the role, but after I arrived, key details changed, including pay rate, contract terms, residence requirements, and relocation/housing per diem expectations.

The housing/per diem support I understood to be part of the agreement was not honored, and I personally absorbed hotel and travel-related costs that were not reimbursed.

A major lesson learned: candidates should request all pay, per diem, housing, travel reimbursement, schedule, and residence requirements in writing before traveling or committing to a contract role.

I’m sharing this so others can protect themselves and confirm all terms in writing before making financial or travel commitments.
