Scummy company that doesn’t stand by their discounted sales.

I ordered a discounted Kallan 16-piece dinnerware set for $49 two weeks ago. They’ve since relisted the product for $185. I received an email saying they were cancelling my entire order because it sold out too quickly and they are “unable to fulfill this item”—demonstrably false, since the item is still for sale. They just don’t want to honor their discount, and are reneging on a completed sale.

"Dansk Beautiful Design, Horrible Quality, Zero Accountability"

"Dansk — Beautiful Design, Horrible Quality, Zero Accountability"

I received a Dansk Haldan dinnerware set as a gift, and within a short time the plates developed disgusting rust-like brown spots on the surface — something you’d never expect from a reputable brand. Strangely, the salad bowls remained fine, making it clear this is a manufacturing defect, not misuse.
When I contacted Dansk customer service with photos, they located the order (from Feb 2022) and admitted it was outside their warranty period. Their solution? Not to stand behind their brand or quality — but to “generously” offer to sell me another set at 73% off in their “Vault Sale.” In other words: buy the same defective product again.
This isn’t how a premium brand should operate. No accountability. No replacement. Just a sales pitch. I find this unacceptable, and I want others to know before spending money on Dansk products — they look great in the box, but don’t expect them to last or the company to stand behind them.
