After having an intense overall health examination of my eyes by the team at Moorfields , I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my eyes had not degenerated that much and still almost 20/20 vision apart from reading at night and close up detail for work Daniel advised me to come back in a few years time when I’m around 60 and to then to have lens replacement surgery which would last me the rest of my life ( without having to wear glasses ) he saved me money ,was extremely honest and I could have kissed him …. I think other lazer companys may not have been so upfront and honest .

I attended Moorfields private clinic under Mr Gore's care in November 2025 with the intention of resolving an issue with long-distance focus. Mr Gore advised that rather than having both eyes fixed (as I expected) I should only have one - he explained clearly why this was and what the benefit would be. He answered all of my questions and I felt reassured.

On the day of the surgery his team was very prompt and professional, and the procedure was both painless and quick. I'm very happy with the outcome and have near-perfect vision now.

The level of attention and care provided throughout the pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery phases was outstanding.

I recently had cataract surgery performed by Mr Daniel Gore and my experience was excellent throughout. From the tests to the surgery and after care Mr Gore and his team were professional, courteous and efficient. A special thank you to Shaima who was so supportive. I can now see clearly, no longer need glasses and have no hesitation in recommending Mr Gore and team.

Before surgery my prescription was -8.00, which meant life always involved glasses and as got older contact lenses. As a frequent contact lens wearer I was frustrated with not always being able to wear them and the frequent scratchy feeling that comes with them, bothered me a lot.

As with most people, I'm sure, I was apprehensive about having eye surgery. However, Daniel Gore and his team were so thorough and really took the time to talk to me about my options. Laser was out of the question but ICL was a viable choice. I was nervous as I didn't know anyone who had had this type surgery and again, because it's my eyes.

After deciding that I wanted to go ahead with the surgery, I booked it. On the day I was suddenly very nervous, Daniel took the time to talk to me and give me the confidence I needed. The nurses and anethesiatist were so lovely and really looked after me the entire time.

When it came to the actual surgery it was completely painless and very quick. The next day, when I woke, I was amazed at how perfect my vision was. Then next three or so weeks I had a schedule of eye drops and after only a few days I felt very normal.

I also had a moment where I wanted some advice as I don't live locally to the clinic, and Shaima made sure Daniel reached out very shortly after my call. The support put me at ease but also knowing I could check in so easily gave me so much reassurance.

I'm now just over a month post op and am still amazed by my perfect eye sight. I still have some glares at night but most of the time they are no issue, and Daniel has reassured me that with time these will lessen. Regardless though, I'm really pleased that I chose to have the surgery and that I chose Daniel Gore as my surgeon. I'd highly recommend.

Myself and my wife are both doctors .
Our son, who is now also a first year doctor ,has been under the care of Mr Gore since 2019.
We wouldn’t see anyone else except him due to his surgical skill and his bedside manner.

An excellent consultant who was very reassuring with our endless questions about my son’s laser eye surgery. Mr Gore was very honest and encouraged us to wait a year for surgery and a year later we couldn’t be more pleased with the results- having better than 20:20 vision. I had laser eye surgery with Mr D Gore in August 2025, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences of my life. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care.

My recovery has been excellent. I’m currently 16 days post-op and already have nearly 100% vision — with two weeks still left in my recovery window. Every follow-up appointment has been just as impressive. Mr Gore is incredibly thorough, kind, and professional. He genuinely cares about his patients' outcomes and wellbeing.

Mr Gore is not just a brilliant surgeon — he's a kind-hearted, trustworthy, and humble gentleman. His passion for his work shows in every interaction. I felt completely safe throughout the entire journey, and I am beyond grateful to have had him as my surgeon.

A big thank you also to Shaima, his PM, who has been so kind, responsive, and helpful throughout. She made the logistics and communication seamless and stress-free.

Laser eye surgery has completely changed my life, and I am so happy I made the decision to go ahead — especially with Mr Gore leading the way. Dr Gore and his team were brilliant from start to finish. I wasn't the easiest of patients - super anxious about the procedure (before, during and after!) and I was very reassured throughout the entire process, which is a real testament to Dr Gore's calming nature. I knew I was in good hands!

Would highly recommend Dr Gore and team, I now have 20/20 vision, and I already can't believe the difference it makes to my life!

Mr Gore is the most competent, knowledgeable, at-ease, and reassuring medical practitioner I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. His entire team is equally superb, and I felt confident throughout the entire process that I was in the safest of hands. There is nothing that I can think of that could be improved. Hi Sir, i have never seen you at all, but heard that you and your hospital are excellent. The problem i ahve is i had both eyes cataracts removed about 2019. I was long sighted. However, i am now long sighted in the left eye, which was the weakest prior, BUT now short sighted in the right eye, which is STILL the most dominent eye and was!!! the most long sighted with the better vision. SO, i contacted the hospital i was at and they said there is nothing they can do, it would not be beneficial to change the right eye implant even though it is causing problems etc. I essentially have one eye fighting the other and eye tests are now not easy and the out comes are varied results etc..............now fed up! I used to be a specialist trauma medic within the NHS and a military veteren, so where is the help i need now??? Bye the way i also have extreme dry eye!!! the punctuals that were put in years ago i am told are not there, but now i am told they are??? I have no problems with the consultant from sunderland, he has always been a good person to me, BUT the operation i think personally was a mistake with the implants e.g. What is the point of making the most always dominant eye with the most powerful vision now SHORT SIGHTED. This is making eye tests not easy as things change in teh twinkling of an eye so to speak along with the dry eye which i have hylo forte for........good, but not perfect. I think it needs new punctuals or something doing about that also? I know he did apparently offer them, but i misunderstood him then, so now i just put up with it all, which is and has become frustrating to say the least.

Excellent care before during and after surgery

From start to finish, Mr Gore and Shaima have been amazing. All my questions are always answered fully and Mr Gore takes time to explain everything clearly and offer the best options. For eye issues, I would not go anywhere else.

Refractive Lens Exchange following onset of cataracts at 76 when already very short-sighted. Now have excellent distance vision and no longer need glasses or contact lenses for it. Mr Gore and the team explained everything clearly and were supportive and sympathetic.

Life changing laser eye surgery, I only wish I had done it sooner. Incredibly professional service throughout I would highly recommend Mr Gore and the team. Comparing Moorfields to friends experiences at cheaper alternatives (which I considered) I have zero regrets paying slightly more. You absolutely get what you pay for
