Paid for 330 mins and received only 240
Very difficult to give a good review. I booked a maxi one off clean for my two bedroom house online for a bank holiday Monday to start between 9-11am. I was called on Tuesday to tell me they don’t work on bank holidays so the earliest they could do was the coming Thursday. This was understandable and rebooking was a smooth process. I asked if we could keep the 9-11am time slot and was told it would be morning.
However, when I was at work on Thursday, my partner was getting increasingly frustrated at home with our new born son because it was past midday without any contact from the cleaners to let us know when they were arriving, this was not ideal because my partner was unable to leave the house until they arrived. I called the company at 1pm to try to other cancel or rearrange the cleaning for another day but was told if I cancel I will lose my money.
Eventually, just before 2pm, two cleaners arrived. They spoke very little English so it was impossible to give any requests or ask for certain areas to be focussed on. On the website it says a maxi clean will be a total of 330 minutes. The two cleaners stayed for exactly 2 hours so (2x120 mins) for a combined total of 240 minutes. I paid £224.40 for the maxi clean where I received closer to the midi clean which would be 220 minutes at 149.60. I’m going off the wording on their website.
The booking process and lateness is inconvenient but not unforgivable. However, when paying so much for a clean and the wording promising 330 minutes, for the cleaners to only work 240 minutes and leave areas not cleaned is very poor indeed. After reading their reviews it is clear I am not the only person to have this experience.
