i wish i read the other reviews before…

i wish i read the other reviews before purchasing.
After receiving two defective pairs of shoes and spending weeks chasing a resolution (still chasing!), I feel other customers should be aware of my experience.
I purchased a pair of Daccori Belle Sandals. When the first pair arrived, they had visible paint damage and defects straight out of the box. I contacted Daccori immediately and provided photos. after days of following up, they finally replied.
they said they would send a replacement pair, Delivery Duties paid so I wouldnt have to spend on those AGAIN.

of course, that did not happen. I spent 60USD in duties myself, non refundable of course. and of course, the replacement also arrived defective.

The metallic red finish was already peeling and exposing white underneath before the shoes had ever been worn. They are still unworn, both pairs in my hands, unsellable, looking as if they have been eaten by rats or humidity got to them.

The situation was made worse by customs charges. Before the replacement was shipped, I specifically asked Daccori to ensure I would not be charged duties again, and I was told the shipment would be arranged to avoid those charges. Despite this, I was required to pay customs on the replacement shipment as well.

What should have been a simple luxury purchase turned into weeks of emails, repeated follow-ups, customs disputes, and quality issues. At the time of writing, I am still seeking a complete resolution. They are unresponsive, do not have any contact means but email , which they dont use to reply.
these shoes are NOT LUXURY . they are made of carton, poorly painted, and the company is poorly run.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not What You’d Expect from a “Luxury” Brand

I owned two pairs of D’Accori Sienna Platforms that needed repairs. It took 6 weeks just to get a response. I posted the heels to their London office on the 15/05/2024, but received no confirmation they had arrived - I had to chase for acknowledgment.

The shoes were then sent to their atelier in Italy. I wasn’t informed of this until I followed up in September, only to be told the atelier had been closed the entire month of August. No one had communicated this beforehand.

From May to December, it was a constant cycle of me chasing updates. The brand never reached out proactively, and when I contacted them, replies often took weeks.

In December, I was finally told the shoes had been shipped and were already delivered - to the wrong address. I had provided the correct one, but they ignored it. Thankfully, I was able to retrieve them myself.

They promised a goodwill gesture—any item of my choice from their list - but once the shoes were returned, they completely stopped responding. I reached out via multiple channels and was ignored. It felt like a calculated move to quiet me down with empty promises.

I had such high hopes for D’Accori. It used to be one of my favourite brands. But after this experience, I no longer want to wear or support them. It has left a very sour taste.

When a pair of shoes retails at £850, you expect a premium level of service. What I received was unprofessional, disorganised, and incredibly disappointing.

Just a heads-up to others: be prepared for extremely slow and inconsistent communication.
