Gifted annual subscriptions renew without notice to you or the recipient.
They use dark patterns in their subscription flow.
For example, if you gift a Direct Debit subscription to someone else, they will show you an annual price in their check-out flow, but continue charging your account past the year until the gift recipient cancels over the phone. They also do not respond to cancellation requests over email. It's very awkward to ask a gift recipient to phone in a cancellation and I think they manipulate you like that.
They claim that they will inform you or the gift recipient before renewing the annual subscription, but they do not do that. They renew silently.
Two stars because the insurance is cheap & it was possible to eventually cancel. But I really thought that an organization advertising that Her Majesty The Queen is their patron will not be borderline scammers.
