Same as in the first comment: rear bearing play on the Lightweight. I also tried pulley wheels for Campagnolo, but the top one doesn't fit and is significantly different from the original. The company refuses to discuss this.

Extremely disappointed with the…

Extremely disappointed with the customer service

I purchased a complete set of ceramic bearings for my Lightweight Meilenstein Evo Schwarz Edition Disc wheels from CyclingCeramic during one of their promotional sales.

The delivery took more than a month, but considering the discount period, I did not consider the delay a major issue.

Once the bearings arrived, I had the original bearings removed and the new ones installed by a professional bicycle mechanic with a fully equipped workshop and dedicated bearing installation tools, including original Ceramicspeed equipment. I want to emphasize this point because the installation was not performed by me and was not an amateur job.

The front wheel bearings worked perfectly from day one: smooth, silent, and completely free of play.

Unfortunately, the rear wheel bearings were a different story. Before even riding the bike once, the rear wheel showed a clearly noticeable and visible amount of bearing play. The issue could easily be detected by gently moving the tire sideways with my fingers.

I immediately contacted CyclingCeramic’s customer support. Their response was to blame the installation and suggest that the mechanic had mounted the bearings incorrectly. Despite repeatedly explaining that the installation had been carried out by a qualified professional, they continued to insist on this explanation without seriously considering any alternative cause.

To eliminate any doubt, I purchased another pair of rear bearings at my own expense, spending an additional €100. During our chat conversation, I was told: “once you order and check, if it solve, we will refund you the bearings, if not solving, the issue come from another things.”

After another waiting period, the replacement bearings arrived and were installed by the same professional mechanic on May 29, 2026. The result was even worse: the amount of play was greater than with the first pair.

I contacted customer support again on the same day, providing all the details and results of the testing process. From that point onward, I was completely ignored. No reply, no follow-up, and no attempt to investigate the issue further.

As a final test, I recently had a pair of inexpensive stainless-steel bearings installed by the same mechanic. The result was immediate: absolutely no play whatsoever.

This strongly suggests that the issue was not related to the wheel, the hub, or the installation process. Meanwhile, since March, I have been unable to properly use my wheels and will now have to purchase ceramic bearings from another manufacturer, incurring additional costs.

My biggest disappointment is not the product itself. Manufacturing defects can happen to any company. What truly disappointed me was the customer service: first blaming others without sufficient investigation, then completely disappearing when evidence suggested the problem was elsewhere.

Today I am left with approximately €200 spent on four rear bearings that never worked correctly and no meaningful support from the company.

For that reason, I feel compelled to share my experience with other potential customers.
