I am in the process of purchasing an old Victorian house and contacted Clarke & Watt, due to reading the positive reviews for this company. Good Review sell it every time in my experience!

Jordan Clarke (Executive Director) performed the Survey, the report was received a little later than expected, but it was not a problem. The report was comprehensive, nicely laid out with the associated pictures, with a Red, Amber, Green key code.
Where issues were identified, possible solutions and associated estimated costs were also provided. There was however some terminology which was not familiar, I contacted Clarke & Watt and asked if I could book an appt to speak to the Surveyor. I was advised that I could either email the questions or contact the Surveyor directly. I opted for the latter and called Jordan.

Initially I was expecting to book a suitable time to discuss the queries, as I was conscious that the timing of my call may not have been convenient for Jordan. To my surprise Jordan said he was happy to discuss my queries now if I had the time. So I took him up and asked away, I was half expecting Jordan to possibly rush the conversation (I had read reviews from other people whom said they experienced the Surveyor unwillingness to explain and inform them that they were busy). But I could not be any more wrong, from the start of the conversation Jordan proved to be exceptionally personable and willing to discuss in great detail my queries, he never rushed me and also extended the conversation by providing insight into other things which was beneficial to my understanding. What I expected to be a 10min conversation extended to nearly 30min. At the end of this I felt more at ease and had a better understanding. I was forearmed with additional knowledge. Jordan also recommended a CCTV Drainage report and provided me with a reliable contact, which I was very appreciative for.

With the information discussed with Jordan, I went back to the Estate Agent to request a renegotiation with the Seller, due to the issues identified, which came to a considerable amount. After a brief deliberation with the Vendor, we came to an agreement, the Seller reduced the house price by several thousand pounds.

I was ecstatic and all this contributory to the excellent Survey undertaken by Jordan, I had the evidence and estimated costs for repair work.

This is my first house purchase so was a little daunting when I initially read the report, had I not had the Survey performed, I would not have known of the issues raised and ended up several years down the line with an exceptionally large list of repairs!

The Survey was worth every penny! I would recommend Clarke & Watt to any person whom is seeking a House Inspection Survey.

First Class Service by this company, everyone I spoke to was friendly.

If in the future I decide to move and purchase another home, Clarke & Watt will be my first and only point of call to book in the House Survey!

I cannot recommend this company more, I base a company's professionalism against their after sales service as that provides a true insight into the nature of company, once they have had your money, Company's lose interest and become lack luster to respond. This most definitely IS NOT the case for Clarke & Watt!

From the beginning of my enquiry for a home buyers survey, Ruth at Clarke & Watts had brilliant communication and replied to me straight away.
