They designed a page in a way that you think they charge you 50 UAH to download a CV, however, they will take 500 more in a week, cause this is a subscription. And, of course, on a paying page you wouldn't see info about 500 UAH in a proper size or place, only with small letters scrolling down the page.

I used this service to create a CV, paying 49.99 UAH for what was explicitly labeled on the checkout screen as "7 days of full access." There was absolutely NO clear disclosure on the payment page that an automatic recurring monthly subscription of 499 UAH would follow, nor was the amount of 499 UAH mentioned anywhere near the payment button. This is a textbook example of "dark patterns" used to mislead consumers.
​Today, on May 18, 2026, my Visa card was automatically charged 499 UAH without any prior notification or reminder. I canceled the subscription immediately within minutes of the charge and have not used the service since then. However, customer support flatly refused to issue a refund, hiding behind their dense Terms and Conditions.
​By hiding the recurring fee and subscription terms from the primary payment screen, CVmaker directly violates Visa Core Rules (Section 5.8.17 "Up-Selling and Negative Option Merchants" and Table 5-31) regarding proper disclosure for Negative Option Transactions. This constitutes a clear Misrepresentation of service costs.
​I have already initiated a formal Chargeback procedure through my bank under Dispute Condition 13.5 (Misrepresentation), providing full screenshot evidence of the misleading payment screen.
​Avoid this service at all costs unless you want unexpected charges deducted from your card. I demand a full refund for the service I did not use and did not knowingly subscribe to.

Update:
The company replied with a generic copy-paste template, gaslighting me and claiming that everything is transparent "on the payment page". I have a screenshot of their exact payment page, and the fee of 499 UAH is completely hidden from the user. They refuse to refund money for a service I canceled immediately and never used. This is a scam customer support strategy that ignores Visa compliance rules. Moving forward with the bank Chargeback.
