Tubeless

Tubeless, quilted rolls, used to be soft and pleasant to use, no surplus fluff floating in the air when pulling off the sheets to use, which is the only thing that is true now.

Recently bought 3 packs, on 3 separate weekly shops from Tesco, on offer at only £4.95, what a bargain, won't need to buy again for quite a while, result!!! Just started using it.

What a total disappointment. Like going back to my school days when only hard loo roll was around and you used to rub it furiously to make it softer. What on earth has gone wrong?

Quilted, soft... No way, it's awful. Bargain, no way, thank goodness I didn't buy it at full price. Stuck with it now. Tried to save money in the long run because nothing is cheap anymore. When it's too good to be true price wise... Unfortunately on this occasion it definitely wasn't.

The change to the thickness of the…

The change to the thickness of the cushelle toilet paper means that we are no longer going to buy it. It’s so thin now that you risk the brown finger perforation with every wipe. Don’t bother buying it you will get better for less money.

Not good I’m afraid.

Have been a long time fan of this brand but moving forward I will be looking elsewhere.
The tubeless loo rolls simply don’t work, the roll has no body or no substance and collapses on the holder and also starts to dispense paper from the inside. Also like others I’ve noticed a marked decline in paper quality and paper thickness.

Poor quality

The quality of the rolls has changed and not in a good way. Forget the advertising about 50% bigger rolls because the paper disintegrates as soon as it gets any moisture on it, is thin, breaks easily and is generally a waste of money. Won't be buying this again. Reviews on Ocado and other shopping sites confirm the same.

Quality has gone way downhill

Quality has gone way downhill. This new product is quite simply cheap and nasty. Its corse on your skin and no longer the soft and quality product it once was. One can only assume saving money and abusing the customer for profit is at play .

Cushelle out of stock in every outlet in the country !!

Every week for two years I have been buying the same Cushelle product. I need this for medical, health and hygiene reasons.
Then suddenly my usual branch of Tesco had an empty shelf where there would normally be box upon box of Cushelle. I went to all the other outlets in my town - Aldi,Lidl,Morrisons,Home Bargains,B&M,Semi Chem.£ Land,Bargains buys,Body Care none had any Cushelle products.

I travelled to the next nearest town and it was the same thing.I basically spent all day searching before turning to what I thought would be a certainty - The internet - Amazon - none available / out of stock. All sellers on Ebay same thing. Finally ordered from a wholesaler that then cancelled the order with no explanation.

Contacted Cushelle via their facebook page but no reply.

There seems to be either a supply issue or there has been panic buying or stock piling due to reasons most of us are unaware of .

To me this all suggests they have either stopped making toiletry products , are closing down or just have a very very poor supply chain.

Sadly there is no other brand that comes close to the quality of Cushelle for the product I use and need.

VERY POOR QUALITY AT AN INFLATED PRICE as

Bought two large packs of the original as they were on offer. Always been pleased with this brand previously but so disappointed by the poor quality this time. It’s supposedly a premium brand but this was so poor - paper disintegrates and doesn’t tear properly so impossible to use normal amount and therefore using twice as much. Reported to company and they just came back with further questions which I’d already answered and said to contact the retailer if I wanted a refund. Oh and they also said if they were ‘satisfied’ with my complaint they would ask for a sample roll and would send me a prepaid bag to send it to them in! I will just vote with my money and never buy Cushelle again. Also telling friends and family not to buy product as it’s a rip off premium product that delivers a substandard poor quality.

Substandard quality in the new design

Hi, I contacted cushelle as I'd noticed that the company had changed the design of the quilted loo rolls.

I mentioned that the new design seemed of less quality, thinner and not as good. The customer service personnel stated that the design had changed for the better and used some technical terms.

I completely disagreed, stating that although it's 3 ply, it felt substandard to the previous design. The quality was substandard. She didn't care.

I had said that I will not be buying the product ever again and I'd been using cushelle for at least 10 years. You pay more for better quality. Unfortunately it seems there's a fair few of us that have seen a difference in the new design and will not be buying it again.

Sadly, cushelle isn't listening to their loyal customers. They'll lose sales and like many products, it will disappear off our shelves. Why fix something which us not broken!

Awful

Until a few weeks back, I swore that this was the best toilet roll ever. Even a tad more expensive than others, it was worth any penny as it was nice and thick. I ordered it again and it's turned into tissue paper! A few 'new' quilted loo rolls came out, so I ordered these. Just as bad. Most of my family and friends used to order Cushelle Quilted, tubeless but they too have said the same. Will never purchase this again. So disappointing. All I can say is don't purchase.

Cushelle gone down the pan and I won't buy any more

A few years ago I swapped to Cushelle Quilted from Andrex and was pleased. The sheets WERE quilted and did their job well without bits of paper coming off. Since then the product has gone completely downhill, it's now just thin sheets of paper which are NOT quilted, it's just a pattern on the sheets. They leave bits of paper stuck on you and you use twice as much. It's probably worse for women than for men! I'd be willing to pay for a properly thick loo roll which doesn't disintegrate but Cushelle doesn't fit the bill any longer. Would like recommendations from anyone who has found a better product.

They rip you off by saying 6 rolls for…

They rip you off by saying 6 rolls for 9 rolls because they have removed the cardboard but when you get down to a quarter of the roll it is like wiping with sandpaper so you don't save you waste paper, I will never buy this again, they need to put back the roll, scam they say because of removing the roll you get more paper? yes course you do? all so they can reduce how many rolls you get. they must think that consumers are stupid and how thick was the cardboard roll?

Long rolls……..inferior!!!!!!!!!

Well I have bought cushelle toilet rolls for years and always my go to even though after covid prices have gone through the roof.
My problem is with longer rolls…… the quality is rubbish ….. thin and not soft at all. I have bought 2 long roll packs but there will not be a third. Why why do this , there’s nowhere to hide … people know the difference , it’s used every day🤷‍♀️

The new cushelle quilted tubeless is…

The new cushelle quilted tubeless is thinner paper thus making the roll a lot smaller than the old ones as I still have some of the older ones.

Cushelle company - people are not stupid and realise when you are cheating them by thinning out your toilet paper and selling it as the same for the same price.

Won't be buying anymore.

Cushelle quilted toilet roll

I rang Cushelle to complain about the change in product and they couldn’t be more disinterested. The ‘new’ rolls are far inferior to the old ones and not quilted at all. It tears easily, you have to use more and the tissue creates dust all over the bathroom. I have been loyal for years but not any more and now buy Andrex.
