doubts

The package I purchased was designed to reach a total of 30k followers across playlists.
They miscasted my track (lounge/jazzhouse) completely by putting it in (only) 2 playlists containing completely different genre music compared with my sound.
I think people 'listened' to my track because it passed their ears, playing the playlist but i doubt they did resonate with the music, with little followers as a result.
At the other hand, now, 6 months later I still have 365 listeners a month but that amount is getting less every week.
So, not convinced that i did reach the right people who resonate with my track.
They did 'something' and sent me a personalized mail, so they are not fake. Therefore 2 stars.

I think it's too expensive

I paid 64,26€ (71,22$ (15.09.2024))for 15k listeners reach. For me it was 2630 plays which translates to a ROI of 5,26$ on CD Baby (9% cut + 30% cut comes to a total of 0,002$ per stream I anaylsed 200.000 streams, so this number is legit) and the exposure was 1525 listeners.
So you pay 0,027$ per stream.
I landed a playlist on submithub and got 2738 plays and 1734 listeners. For that I paid around 3€ (3,32$). Considering a lot of rejection on submit hub and a acceptance rate (for ME) of around 30-40%. It would be fair to say, it cost me 80$ to buy 100 credits. Then you can only use 30 credits which makes 1 credit cost 2,7$ so for a 4 credit playlist (which are really good) you pay around 10,8$ which makes it still a minus transaction but it is a lot less pricey than curatormatch.
My conclusion: Curatormatch is extremely overpriced. Work on submithub, do research on the playlists, match the sound, write spreadsheets with the quality and reaches and save your money on promotion that actually works.
