Unacceptable Payment Issues with Cruisewinkel
I recently booked a cruise with Cruisewinkel and intended to pay using my American Express (AMEX) card to enjoy its benefits, especially the ones regarding travel insurance. However, the payment link for AMEX didn't work. Despite reaching out multiple times, they insisted I pay via Visa, MasterCard, or iDeal instead.
They blamed AMEX for the issue, but I was able to use my AMEX card elsewhere without any problems. Their proposed solution was for me to pay through another method and later refund me so I could pay again with AMEX—an inconvenient and impractical option for such a large amount (around €11000) while they also said that they didn't know when or if their payment problem will ever be resolved.
Their lack of urgency in resolving the payment issue and poor communication have left me in an overdue situation through no fault of my own. I find this unacceptable and caution others to be aware of potential payment hassles with Cruisewinkel.
