Not credible clinical information
This is a very thorough and honest review. There are some good aspects to this service, and I will say I did enjoy many of the podcasts. I felt they gave good insight into sample interviews and the role of a CRNA. I utilized the mock interview which I truly think helped me land a position in CRNA school. However, CSPA just provided the link to use this service and it required paying over $100. The biggest reason I don't support using this service fully was the number of errors in the 5-day interview challenge. I would hate for someone to do poorly in an interview if they utilized that as a resource. Just one example of this was the starting dose for epinephrine was written as 0.1 mcg/kg/min instead of 0.01. The person speaking misspoke a lot such as "benign prostate hypertrophy" when the correct term is hyperplasia. Those are just two examples, however, there were many errors. I felt the service was very pricey and they should at the very least make sure the information they provide is accurate. In addition, in one of the interview transcripts, I read about the Windkessel effect, and I didn't fully understand it at first. So, I read up on it and I later saw the same information nearly word for word on a website. Whoever wrote that directly took it from there and provided no citation... that looks pretty bad. My suggestion is to utilize nurses teach nurses for a mock interview, listen to the CSPA podcasts(free), and use more credible resources for clinical information.

I was reluctant to seek mock interview…
I was reluctant to seek mock interview help but after always getting to the interview and nothing more I realized I had to do more. I did my interview with Calvin a day before my interview, and after all the preparation I did before hand, he helped me see what I should have focused on in the first place. I worked on what we had discussed and was thankfully granted admission into my #1 pick CRNA school

Mock interview
I was so excited for my mock interview with Haley Franck. She made me feel extremely comfortable and open to sharing all of my experiences that lead to my decision of pursuing nurse anesthesia. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to find weak areas in my clinical knowledge that needed to be addressed. With her help and the study resources available on CRNA prep academy, I was accepted into my top choice program.

The community-only access (less than $6/month) does have a small resource library, but the main benefit of that space is to have *direct access* to current program faculty and Jenny for advice & answers to your questions. I love CSPA
I love CSPA! I did a one month subscription for now and when I get closer to applying for school I will definitely be subscribing again, for a longer timeframe. There is great information provided and everyone is super helpful in answering questions. I deducted 1 star because the website is very slow to load; I have tried wifi and service, and have changed my browsers and it’s still slow. Altogether though, it is very beneficial and I’m very glad to have found this helpful community!
