As a student working with Crimson…
As a student working with Crimson Education, my experience so far has been very positive. What stands out most is how approachable and responsive the team is, they’re always willing to answer questions and give thoughtful advice. The support feels personalised rather than generic, and they really take the time to understand what you’re aiming for.
I’ve also found their structured approach useful, as it breaks down what can be an overwhelming process into manageable steps. It’s made planning ahead much easier and helped me stay organised. Even though I haven’t started submitting university applications yet, I already feel more prepared and clearer about my direction.
Overall, it’s been a reassuring experience, and I would recommend their support to anyone looking for guidance through the admissions process.
I loved my experience working with Crimson!
I loved my experience working with Crimson but more specifically working with John, who played a huge role in helping me get into NYU, my dream school. I started the college process a bit later than my peers, didn't have the best GPA, or test scores but John made sure I never felt behind. Although it was stressful at times, he made sure that I always felt supported and had a clear plan moving forward and always cleared his schedule for me if I felt like I needed more help. He would start every session asking about my week, my hobbies, and what was going on in my life, which made our conversations feel much more personal. It was really easy to talk to him, which made it comfortable for me to ask questions and be honest about where I needed help and he gave honest feedback and pushed me to improve every step of the way. Because of John’s guidance, I was able to put together an application I was proud of, and ultimately get accepted into NYU. I am extremely grateful for everything he has done for me.
I highly recommend him and Crimson as a whole!
Crimson education

Crimson has been incredibly helpful…
Crimson has been incredibly helpful throughout my entire college application process. Because I applied to both the US and UK, I had to follow very different steps but I felt consistently supported the entire time with both my teams. Each counsellor, tutor, and essay mentor was always available and went over and above to help me make my applications the best they could be. When it came to making the final college decision, I felt like I had adequate professional support and opinions which helped me make the best informed decision I could. I highly recommend Crimson!!
Superb college application advising team!
Crimson guided my son's college applications. Throughout the confusing and stressful process, Crimson's team provided us invaluable backbone support! The entire team not only is so kind, caring, and encouraging but also guides us with strategy, insightful knowledge, and assisted my son, step by step, to complete the journey to be admitted by his target university! We are extremely grateful!
Crimson Student (1 1/2 year journey!)
Working with Crimson turned out to be one of the best decisions I made during my college application process. My strategist, John Hyde, along with the wider team including application reviewers, essay mentors, and SAT tutors, met me where I was and helped me grow from there. The support never felt generic. John went above and beyond to tailor my application and become my mentor. He took the time to understand who I am, what I care about, and where I want to go. He pushed me to show up as the strongest version of myself, and that made all the difference! I ended up getting into multiple strong business programs and even secured a seasonal internship at Boston Consulting Group, a top-3 consulting firm. If you're on the fence, having Crimson in your corner makes the whole experience :)

Crimson played a huge role in helping me secure admission to Columbia University as an international student, which is an incredibly competitive process. What stood out most was the level of personalised support. My mentors didn’t just focus on applications; they helped me shape my story, refine my voice, and present my experiences in a way that felt authentic and compelling. The guidance around essays, strategy, and positioning was especially valuable. As a New Zealand student coming from a different academic system, having that clarity and structure made a huge difference. I also appreciated how honest and realistic the process was. There were no guarantees; just strong mentorship, high expectations, and consistent support. Overall, I’m incredibly grateful for the role Crimson played in my journey. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other students aiming high, especially those navigating the US admissions process from outside the system.
A life-changing experience
My journey with Crimson began early, when I started tuning into their online webinars covering US application strategy. Hearing the insights shared by their experienced team inspired me to take a more personalised approach — one that would draw on my existing strengths and shape them into an application that could genuinely stand out among thousands of international applicants.
Working with my Crimson strategist was transformative. I found my personal voice, developed a clearer sense of who I am, and built soft skills that helped me deepen the impact of my extracurriculars in ways I've found valuable far beyond the application process itself.
I'm incredibly grateful for the thorough, detail-oriented support Crimson provided in helping me translate my hard work into a compelling case on the world stage. I can't wait to begin at Brown University this fall.

I enjoyed working with Crimson Education. My strategists were very knowledgeable and knew about programs that helped me gain admission to a top university that I would have otherwise not have known about. Additionally, they made the process very clear, with well-defined deadlines and steps. I am grateful for their support.
I have enjoyed working with Crimson
I have enjoyed working with Crimson and, specifically, my strategist, John Hyde. As the first person in my family to apply to a US college, I felt very lost at the start. Crimson made the process feel manageable thanks to their organized timeline.
Meeting with John once a month was a highlight; he helped me understand exactly what to prioritize and was the perfect mix of realistic and hopeful. Most importantly, he is extremely personable and fun to talk to. He made a stressful process much easier, and I really valued our general life chats at the start of our calls. I also highly recommend the FAO review, as it provided very thorough and detailed feedback on my application.
However, the Capstone Project didn't work as I had expected. In my experience, it felt unorganized at times. Also, the essay mentorship didn't fully meet my expectations.

Incredible support throughout my college application journey that led to my University of Pennsylvania early acceptance! Working with my essay mentor and strategist was encouraging and made the process feel calm and manageable. Their knowledge, care, and consistency made all the difference. My team truly cared about helping me think clearly, write honestly, and feel confident. I am deeply grateful.

I very much enjoyed my experience with Crimson Education. My strategist, tutors, and team were all really professional and provided me with valuable advice and insight into the UK Uni admissions process. Super grateful for all their help and support in this journey.
An Amazing Support System for Students Who Want to Study Abroad
As a student at Crimson Education, I’ve found their support incredibly helpful. Everyone is kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping you reach your goals. They guide you step by step, which makes the whole process feel much clearer and less stressful.
There are also so many opportunities they offer if you dream of studying abroad — from academic planning to extracurricular guidance and test prep, it really feels like a full support system.
My strategist Jhony has been amazing, and my Student Success Manager, Lucas, is also super supportive and always willing to help whenever I need anything. Even though I haven’t applied to universities yet, I already feel much more confident and prepared because of their guidance. Highly recommend!
Used Crimson twice
Used Crimson for both of my children. All of the consultants were great and made the whole process feel way less stressful. The support was high quality and helpful, and you can tell they really know what they’re doing.
More Marketing Than Advising
I scheduled a free 15-minute consultation with Crimson because I was genuinely looking for guidance about my academic goals and future college plans. As a motivated student trying to be proactive, I expected at least a short conversation about my interests, direction, or how they work with students. That is not what happened.
When the call started, the consultant greeted me but immediately misspelled my name, which already made the interaction feel rushed and impersonal. He did not seem interested in building any kind of connection or understanding who I am as a student. His tone felt disengaged, almost like he was in a bad mood or just trying to get through the call. He asked me a couple of surface-level questions about school and what high school I was planning to attend. Before I could really explain my goals or ask any questions, he abruptly stopped the conversation and shifted the focus entirely away from me. He asked which parent is most involved in my college admissions, and then said my mom should schedule a separate appointment. Right after that, he ended the call. The entire interaction lasted only a few minutes and never became an actual consultation. There was no discussion of my interests, no attempt to understand my strengths or ambitions, no advice, no explanation of how they might help someone like me.
It felt like the “free consultation” was not meant to help students at all, but purely to move the conversation to parents as quickly as possible for sales purposes. As a student, that was extremely disappointing. I came in hoping for insight and left feeling dismissed and unheard. I understand that parents are involved in financial decisions, but completely cutting off a student mid-conversation makes the process feel impersonal and overly business-focused. Students looking for real guidance should know that this initial call may not be a consultation in the true sense. It may function more as a screening step to redirect you to a parent-focused sales conversation, rather than an opportunity to discuss your goals or receive advice.
I left feeling frustrated because I was ready to talk seriously about my future, but the conversation never got that chance to happen.
Best college counselling platform!!
I love how personalised the support on the Crimson app is, especially having a dedicated strategist. They walk you through the entire application process, help fix mistakes, and guide you in building a strong overall profile for top universities. The constant communication is honestly amazing, it really feels like they care about their students. Plus, everything is well-formatted and easy to use. Would totally recommend Crimson to anyone interested in aiding their child's holistic development.
Reliable
I first found Crimson after searching online for agencies that could help me apply for universities. I decided to send a message, and their reply was incredibly fast. They explained their services and found me a mentor is less than 5 days. My mentor, Michael, is amazing: he always replies to my messages quickly and is truly an expert regarding universities in Canada. They helped me a lot with choosing the best places to apply, managing deadlines, planning my essays, and helping me go through this stressful moment. I was accepted to my dream universities, University of Waterloo and UBC. I would highly recommend Crimson to make the process of applications a lot more smooth.
Crimson has been a Game Changer
Crimson has been a life saver throughout the college application process. I have had a dedicated team of strategists, essay mentors, and subject tutors who have made sure that I am more than prepared for applying to my dream schools. And most importantly, they know exactly how to make the process as calm and low-stress as possible. I highly recommend Crimson for anyone looking for college counseling support!
Brilliant advisors
The advisors were brilliant and allowed my son to own the process with a high level of independence from the parents. They helped him keep making progress towards his goals, clarified lots of questions that came along the way with selecting schools and preparing applications, contacting admission teams, etc. My son got the bespoke support he needed throught the process. The advisors are also great at communicating with parents, answering questions, and consistently sending thorough summaries of their sessions. Crimson has a great interface that makes it really easy to see what's happening, communicate and schedule meetings. My child also took advantage of some of the courses they offer and reported they were useful. Their services are quite expenside, but in comparison of the high costs of a university education in the US, definitely worthwhile.
Made My Dream School Possible
The summer before Grade 12, I started looking into platforms that could help with the college application process, and that’s when I came across Crimson. I was really interested in what they offered, so I reached out to their team. After showing the platform to my dad, we decided to give it a try. I didn’t start as early as some students, but even beginning just before Grade 12 made a huge difference.
As a Canadian student and a soccer player, I didn’t really understand the U.S. application system or how to present myself beyond athletics. My Crimson team helped me build my confidence and guided me through every step, from highlighting my strengths to understanding the whole process. At the time, I was also recovering from ACL surgery, and they supported me emotionally through that too, reminding me that I had so much potential off the field as well.
Crimson helped my application stand out by refining my essays, personal statement, and activities. Every mentor I worked with was amazing. Christine, my strategist, guided me through everything from my activities to my university list and was always there to answer questions or give feedback. Arsala, my SAT mentor, helped me reach my best score, while my Canadian strategist, Jinwoo, made sure I had strong backup options in Canada. Caitlyn, my essay and interview mentor, helped me polish my writing and prepare for interviews, and Ebony, my Capstone mentor, supported me every step of the way on my project. Together, they gave me confidence, direction, and the tools I needed to succeed.
All of that support helped me get through such an important year with clarity and purpose. I’m so grateful I found Crimson when I did. Without their help, getting into my dream school, Notre Dame, wouldn’t have been possible.
