Good in all respects
On arrival plenty of parking, a very warm and smiling welcome from Bella. A cosy table in the bar. First rate staff and a delicious meal at a fair price. We will be back.

This pub with rooms is lovely.
We stayed 2 nights with dogs.
The room had a very comfortable large bed and a great shower.
The pub was clean, friendly and had the best food ever at a very reasonable price.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
We will definitely repeat this experience.
Unpretentious pub, light and airy, open fires, squishy sofas & scrubbed wood tables with space between them!
We got a warm welcome from the host and were seated at a table with plenty of room for our Lurchers.
We ate freshly-cooked partridge w carrot puree, bashed new potatoes and winter greens.
The partridge, stuffed with thyme, was tender and juicy and the bashed spuds crispy. Winter greens were al dente & the carrot puree sweet and fragrant. Cooked to perfection, served with smiles and eaten with a great deal of pleasure! A very pleasant Sunday lunch. Thank you The Cricketers!!
Visited The Cricketers Inn with my family yesterday and, unfortunately, we were left very disappointed. We were met by two unfriendly and rather snooty bar staff, which set the tone for the visit.
The food was far below standard, not even acceptable for typical pub grub and definitely overpriced for what was served. My daughter found a bone in her chicken wrap, which I reported to the manager. Instead of a proper apology or concern, we were later approached by a young bar lady who simply said “the chef said that happens sometimes.” Completely unacceptable.
The wrap itself was dry and almost stale. Overall, none of the meals impressed us.
Sadly, I had high hopes for this place and was looking forward to making it a regular spot for my large family. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be returning.

Just had lunch here was impressed with the food all clearly cooked to order piping hot. I had the confi of duck and it was delicious better than some I've had in France. Staff were attentive and friendly can definitely recommend.

Friendly staff, lovely room, fantastic food. Would definitely recommend
Warm welcome, no pressure to order food, the pre drinks were really good. We ordered our food, starters were absolutely delicious, the chicken wings were to die for. Then the main course mine was fish and chips, really very nice, the batter was lovely so was the fish. The desserts, well say no more, delicious. Full up now. Hope to go back soon. Well done.
I’ve been to The Cricketers Inn a few times now and every single time it has been nothing short of excellent. We are always greeted with a very warm welcome and all staff members are very friendly and helpful. I’m particularly impressed by their wine list and attention to detail when it comes to the food and otherwise. Their pizza nights and Sunday roasts are not to be missed!!!
