I bought a pair of Masuri WK gloves in…

I bought a pair of Masuri WK gloves in January, used them 6 times and the webbing ripped. Cricket Direct have said they wont replace them becuase the manufacturer have said 'they have never had a pair of WK gloves rip when only a few months old'. Wether Cricket Direct actually contacted Masuri I dont know, but the fact that they arent pushing to do anything about it is nonsense. I play for a club with circa 200 members and ill be making sure that no one uses Cricket Direct for anything in the future

AVOID

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Atrocious customer service. Very expensive bat broke shortly after it arrived and before a match had even been played. They take no responsibility. Do not purchase from this supplier, far better and more honourable cricket shops around, who care about the customer and their reputation as a supplier of expensive cricket bats. This place is nothing short of back street job.

These guys are very poor in customer…

These guys are very poor in customer service. Goods apparently sent on the 26th March on a 48hrs tracked Royal Mail service and it is planned to arrive on the 8th April! Asked for the shipping cost to be refunded because they can claim it back from the Royal Mail and the answer was … in short …. no. Don’t trust this supplier .. they are in it for themselves…. No wonder they get such a bad review rating. Buy at your own peril… we will never send a penny with them again.

Can’t complain

I ordered a bat, balls and wickets from them. Ordered on Sunday. Did not receive any communication apart from order confirmation. Looked at all the bad reviews and thought it was a scam. I emailed them on Thursday night about order update. Got a reply Friday morning with a tracking number. Goods arrived that afternoon. All excellent quality and exactly as described.

GN Havoc Test Bat

I just wanted to leave a quick review to say how pleased I am with the service from Tina at Cricket Direct Ltd.

My order arrived today and I couldn’t be happier. The bat and bag are both excellent quality and exactly as described. The whole process from ordering to delivery was smooth and efficient, and Tina was extremely helpful and professional throughout.

It’s great to deal with a company that clearly values customer service. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from Cricket Direct again and highly recommend them to other cricketers.

Thanks again, Tina!

Very disappointing first experience…

Very disappointing first experience with Cricket Direct.
I received used and damaged cricket pads instead of a new product. There were visible scuff marks, dirt stains, peeling material, and clear signs of prior use. The manufacturer tags were not attached to the pads, but loosely placed inside the pad cover, which is not how a new item should arrive.
I reported the issue immediately and shared multiple photos. While the support team did respond, the process was slow and drawn out, involving repeated requests for images and waiting periods of 48–72 hours. Eventually, I was asked to return the item, which has already caused over a week’s delay, impacting my practice schedule.
What’s most concerning is that this item clearly was not quality checked before dispatch, despite assurances that all products are inspected.
For a first order, this experience was extremely frustrating. I expected better quality control and faster resolution.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company, bat split after 2nd use by a 12 year old. Customer service rude and aggressive and unwilling to replace or refund told tough, bat was expensive and a decent brand and came already knocked in. The customer service has been non existent despite 20 plus emails and they do not care at all once you have purchased. They are far from a reputable company and staff are untrained on how to handle complaints disgusting responses received back laughing in my face kind of replies. Do not buy from them.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

To be honest, a disgrace. Ordered pads on 4th feb, with 1-2 business days delivery indicated.

No details given whatsoever about shipping throughout, and by 12th had to raise a case through paypal to reverse the transaction. Avoid at all costs.

Rubish service unfortunate

Have ordered by Cricket Direct last week, still did not get any information. After calling them they informed that one of the item was out of stock. I informed them why they did not informed me about it on time. Now today i get a update that they have created a label with UPS and will be delivered next week. Pro direct , and Hockey cricket are far better then this rubish company. Will never buy something from here again.

Panicked but relieved

I ordered a number on items on the 25th Jan, when nothing arrived or no further emails were received by the 30th Jan I panicked and checked the reviews here.. and cried.

I then messaged the company asking for an update and they responded within 30mins advising they were waiting for an item to arrive from a different warehouse, and highlighted that they do state dispatch within 3-5 working days (I had read this as delivery).

The full order was delivered today and everything is as expected.

Communication could be improved, more updates on orders and less marketing, but overall I am relieved and posting here in the hope that others don’t panic and cry!

Awful service

If I could give them a zero I would. Ordered items on premise of 2 day delivery ahead of Christmas. Queried when there was a delay. Told items weren’t in stock but arriving soon. Order should not be fulfilled if not in stock. Items arrived after Christmas. No reply to email requesting a refund of postage costs. Had to pay for return too. Big delay on refund. I would rather send my boy out to bat with no protection, than give these cowboys my money. AVOID at all costs.

Ordered four kookaburra cricket balls…

Ordered four kookaburra cricket balls from Cricket Direct. Payment was taken but no parcel tracking was possible, I contacted the company after 72 hours and was assured the product was on its way. When the parcel was not delivered I emailed again, only to be told that the cricket balls were out of stock and had never been sent despite assurances. Really poor service.

Rubbish service

Rubbish service, ordered bat on 12th Dec and according to the website delivery 1-2 days, nothing heard by 17th. Tried to call, just answerphone, sent message and email and received response with the order details saying the item was removed and then re added. Then another response saying delivery 1-2 days followed by yet another saying 24-48 working hours, whatever that is. Rang again and told the item had been delayed but to be in the post and fast tracked same day (18th) with Royal Mail tracking available, now 19th and still no update. But an email saying the item would be sent once they had received stock. BUYER BEWARE, AVOID!

Appalling company with very bad customer service and in modern time awful return policy.

I ordered a chest guard and paid £6.35 for shipping. The product was very bad and it felt used perhaps someone else also returned it. Ask for the return and they said me to pay for the return as well which is £8. But hy should I pay for a product that is faulty and substandard. Very rude customer service. Stay away.

Appalling company with very poor customer service and an outdated return policy.
I ordered a chest guard and paid £6.35 for shipping. When it arrived, the product was clearly substandard and felt used, as if it had already been returned by someone else.

When I requested a return due to the poor quality, I was told I would also have to pay for return shipping, which costs £8. There is no reason a customer should pay to return a faulty or inferior product.

On top of that, the customer service was extremely rude and unhelpful. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company.

If you want, I can also:

Make it shorter and punchier (for Google Reviews)

Rewrite it in a more formal/legal tone (for a complaint or chargeback)

Adapt it for Trustpilot, Amazon, or social media

Here’s a much harsher, no-nonsense version that still stays credible and avoids anything that could get removed:

Absolutely disgraceful company.
I paid £6.35 for shipping on a chest guard that arrived in unacceptable condition. The product felt used, poorly made, and completely substandard — as if it had already been returned by another customer.

When I quite rightly asked for a return due to the poor quality, I was told I’d have to pay another £8 to send it back. Expecting customers to pay return postage for a faulty product is outrageous and completely unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the customer service was rude, dismissive, and showed zero interest in resolving the issue. This company clearly does not care about product quality or customer satisfaction.

Save your money and your time — stay well away from this company.

Quick delivery

The bat I ordered came immediately and in good condition. I was very scared when I saw the reviews but the customer service was great, and special thanks to Madusha for helping so efficiently and responding quickly. Has held up brilliantly in the nets

Horrendous Experience

Horrendous experience. Ordered a cricket bat that was in stock, nothing complex. Delivery time quoted was 1-2 days. 4 days later they shipped it and told me I should expect to receive it the next day. Royal Mail then stated they never received it from Cricket Direct and I had to endlessly chase Cricket Direct until 14 days later they finally agreed to refund the money.

Still waiting for the refund. They took the money the day after I ordered but presumably it doesn't work that way when returning money!

Customer service phone line apparently opens at 9am but if you call at 9:15am they tell you that the customer service person has only just started so can't take calls yet!

Avoid at all costs!

Brilliant Experience

I cannot understand the negativity around this company in these reviews - my experience has been absolutely brilliant.

I placed two orders recently for a combined total of over £300 - for a cricket bat and shoes - without having seen these reviews. When i did see these reviews, after placing my orders, I was immediately concerned.

However there was absolutely nothing to be concerned about. Both orders (domestic) arrived within 3 days and are exactly the quality I expected/ordered. I also had to phone the company for some advice on a product and I found them very helpful.

Helpful customer service, speedy delivery and quality products at great prices - what's not to like? I will absolutely be using CricketDirect again. Thanks.
