I was disappointed in the fact I was charged my annual fee of $75 the second I activated my account. I was unaware that would be charges immediately taking a 1/3 of my credit limit. You figure your an... See more

It’s really way too early to give an honest review, which is why I only have it three stars - asking for a review this early makes a statement also, no?

I had a problem getting my card. It would not accept my information so I went to my bank and after discussions with you we finally got it straightened out.

It's got a high apr and a pretty hefty annual fee, but it's helping me rebuild my credit. That alone is priceless. I learned the hard way how difficult it is to climb out of debt once you're in it...... See more

Payments weeks to process, if at all.

Card came fast and was easy to set up. I made a payment.. Couldn't use my card. Made another payment. Still couldn't use my card. I waited about 3 weeks before I called to see what the heck was going on. They said that I needed to provide proof of payment by submitting my bank statement or something showing that the payment processed. No call, app alert, email- nothing. So I send them a screenshot of my account showing where the first payment had processed and waited 2 days before calling back. They said that it could take 7-10 days for them to review my email. I said, "Shut it down." Eff all that ridiculouslness.

Credit One puts a Security Hold on Good Accounts for No Reason & Cannot Explain Why

While I appreciate the credit limit increases for being a customer who pays my bill on time, in an effort to increase my credit score, I paid half the statement balance two weeks ahead and the remaining balance right before the due date, so I was going into the new cycle with a $0 balance. The last payment I made was again the full statement balance AND I paid the extra to expedite the payment! Two weeks later, I noticed the credit amount did not reset to show accurate information, so I called. I was told that they put a security hold on my account and could not tell me why! They wanted a driver's license and/or Passport and a utility bill to verify my identity and address when my license shows the exact same address. They did this to me 2 years ago and after providing proof by uploading the documents multiple times, they continuously told me that either my license was fraudulent (I have a Real ID and a U.S. Passport), which is preposterous! So I mailed them and still no one could ever confirm receipt. After 2 years of going back and forth with them, I closed the account and just took the hit to my credit score. And here we go again with the second card I have with them -- I just don't get it! All the while, scammers are out here getting away with stealing hard working people's money and stealing information, yet hard working folks like myself are being bullied! I have other credit cards with other companies and all are paid on time - some I don't even use unless I have an emergency, but if I am paying my bill on time, have not had any strange activity on my card, what is the problem?! And what really makes this worst is that they did not even notify me -- I had to call them to inquire! I would not recommend Credit One to anyone!!!

I strongly advise everyone to stay away…

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from Credit One Bank. In my experience, they took money from my account without properly explaining the charges, and getting answers from customer service was incredibly frustrating. I felt like my concerns were ignored, and every call led to more confusion instead of a solution.

This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a bank. I lost trust in them completely and would never recommend Credit One Bank to anyone. If you’re looking for a company that values its customers and handles issues fairly, this is not it. Be very careful before opening an account with them.

Bad faith business from start - I would run

They sent me a mail I was pre approved and asked to accept the card. I go ahead and apply and it gets approved and I receive the card. I activate it and go checkout and it gets declined. Then I receive a mail that my account is suspended and they need to verify my information and asks me to upload my drivers license, utility bills and surprise surprise my whole W2. Mind you this is not before they approved the application and sent me the card. They already have my social security no and they got my credit history from Experian. You already have my credit history and you can see my other credit cards and balances. So, why do you need my drivers license information and particularly my w2. That makes no sense. And if I fail to upload it, they will suspend the card permanently and report me to credit agencies. If you needed this information that should be before you approve and send the card not after. What are you going to do with my information. How’s that gonna be private and protected. That’s sensitive info. No other credit card or even my main bank accounts asked this info. Just bad faith business. I would run. I call the customer care and a condescending foreigner who barely speaks English tries to tell me that that’s how it is done with credit one.

SHAME ON CREDIT ONE

If you go to credit one app, it ONLY lets you make a payment if you have a bank account, if you ONLY have a debit card, you have to call to make your payment and they charge you an extra $4.95 to process it, they would have made , besides interet , an extra $45 from me so I just paid it off to keep them from taking an advantage of me , most people with a debit card is generally on low income then this company wants to take an advantage of that, SHAME ON THEM!!!!!!!

Please run they stole my money

would give a zero if I can. I made an express payment with my debit card paid extra 4.95 to have the payment expressed. I was to have $100 available immediately then the rest in 5-7 days. Why did I go the store and no available credit. Well they supposedly placed a hold wanting proof that I made the payment. Now keep in mind money was already taken out of my account with no problems. I had to send in proof and wait 10 days for my money to be released. What I am supposed to do in the mean time. They stole my money. Please don’t use them for your credit needs.

Excellent service and fast approval

Excellent service and fast approval
Awesome company and even better service. Getting approved with less-than-perfect credit was quick and easy, and they gave me a very fair starting credit line. No issues with payment processing or hidden surprises. It’s the perfect stepping stone to a better credit score. Thanks, Credit One!
