Just had a lovely coffee and tried one of your oatmeal
and raspberry scones really lovely. Have been coming to Craigies for years and everyone makes you so welcome. Olly the butcher is great he is really helpful and goes the extra mile for you, we always enjoy a quick chat with him. Having shopped at other butchers it’s so nice to get someone who knows what they are doing and gives you good advice.
Bottled Truffle oil
I ordered a bottle of Truffle oil online, however after ordering it which this site allowed me to do, it then told me to click and collect!…I was puzzled as I thought they would send it in the post to me, I decided to call them and was advised that there would be a charge of over £8 to deliver to East Ayrshire in Scotland, I told lady I would pay for the delivery then the next day got a call telling me the oil would not be delivered to me and they would reimburse me. I questioned I was in Scotland and couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t deliver the product to me. I was told by Megan no we don’t deliver you can have your refund. I’m not happy with this company as it allows you to order and takes your money only to be then told No they won’t deliver even if you are willing to pay the courier charge. I would never buy from this company again the customer service is appalling and the Staff need better Training…Good luck Customers.

Calum and I had just got married and we wanted to send baskets full of goodies to those that had made the day so special. The lady serving made up five hampers and ger colleague took them out to the car for us.We go there regularly with calums family and we all love it .I’m sorry I can't remember the ladies names because they were magnificent
Gone downhill
We’ve been bringing our kids here since they were very little and it has really changed. Obviously I understand the cost of everything has gone up, but paying £7.50 between three of us to pick some berries- two punnets, which we filled, then cost £15.50. The entry fee used to be taken off, but not anymore. There’s not much to justify this, I don’t think. I’m more than happy to pay for PYO, but I think an entry fee is OTT.
The food and drink has always taken a while, but we used to enjoy sitting outside. The outside park has now been stripped back to the bare minimum, to encourage people to pay for the playpark at Little Farmers, I assume. A flat white with a shot of syrup was £4.50, which I’d also count as overpriced. Staff were friendly but service was slow. I’m afraid things have gone a bit downhill! I was also underwhelmed by the pumpkin picking in October- again, not enough there to justify an entry price and then the pumpkins on top of that!
strawberrys
we came to pick strawberries think was very expensive...the strawberries were for the bin only 1 day after very disappointing
Used to be good, now not so good!
Like some other reviews the cafe was a terrible experience. Waited 25 mins to be seated. Chelsea was our waitress and she was rude and obviously having a bad day as it as busy. However no way to treat or speak to paying guests especially when you are charging premium prices for food . We stood up and left without ordering. Went to a local carvery and had a fantastic lunch. Craigies in my opinion used to be good but recently has went downhill. Emailed them to let them know. Haven’t heard back and it’s been 4 days .Won’t be back!

We took my 92 year old elderly mother in law for lunch on Saturday afternoon , such a beautiful setting and the farm shop was a delight , but the cafe experience was awful!
We waited 1hour and 30 mins for our food , the kitchen appeared to be in chaos food was coming out of the kitchen and sitting on the counter as there seemed to be a huge mix up with orders, no communication from the staff and I had to ask twice how long our food would be , only to be told it will be five minutes , but that was not the case.
The thing that annoyed me the most though , whilst the stressed waiting team apologised , there was no gesture , eg have a free coffee on us for your very long wait, poor customer service indeed.
We had travelled from Newcastle to treat her to a lovely day out which was slightly spoiled by this experience , so will not be visiting again which is such a shame
Excellent service
Excellent service. Superb food high-quality establishment. The breakfasts are amazing as of the cakes. The staff are exceptionally friendly, especially karolyne who was friendly and welcoming
We have been here a number of times
We have been here a number of times. On Sunday mid afternoon we went for coffee and cake. There were only 3 tables occupied, took over 10 minutes to take our order. There were 3 people at another table, they waited 20 minutes. The coffee was not good and the carrot cake was disgusting. We were there for 25 minutes and for the whole time a person was scraping the wooden legs of chairs over the tiled floor to sweep under tables. The noise was terrible, went in fora (quiet) coffee. The place has went downhill by a considerable amount. We won't be going back, such a shame. Jack Martin.

Been here a few times and yet to be disappointed, kids love coming to! At my recent visit I was served by Karolyne who remembered my coffee orders from last time! Such a lovely touch to great service
While seated outdoors
While seated outdoors, we experienced a delay of 30 minutes in receiving our food. Upon inquiring with the staff, there seemed to be reluctance in accommodating our request, and one of our orders was brought inside instead. Furthermore, my juice was overlooked. This situation requires improvement.
Inefficient and unprofessional service
Service was slow, most of the staff seemed uninterested and their system was inefficient and disorganised. Food and drinks came to table at different times. Won’t be back.
WELL OVER PRICED!!
WELL OVER PRICED!!
Never go back.!
Ordered Ceaser Salad, obviously expecting with chicken! I haven’t been informed about have to order extra chicken! And what I receive is plate full of lettuce, boiled egg cut in quarter, little bit of Parmesan cheese and it 8-10 pieces of croutons for £9 + £3 extra for 5 pieces of chicken. Waiter said; their customers likes it!!?!?!? Who exactly? RABBITS??
I send my plate back and ask for lentil soup instead.
Don’t get me wrong food is good, my partner had sausage roll, that was good. Farm shop good too, brilliant place for kids.
TAKE YOUR OWN PICNIC!!
Underwhelmed
Over priced, small portions and food was not a very high standard.
Service was very slow.
An open sandwich consisted of 1 slice of bread with melted chees with side garnish of a few salad leaves. £9.00. ..utterly ridiculous.
The macaroni cheese was served in a dessert size bowl and was dry with virtually sauce free. Terrible.
None of us will be back. I’ll go to loch Leven Larder or Blacketyside Farm where it is much better value.
I just feel utterly ripped off.
Over priced, nothing to see
This used to be a lovely little humble farm to go pick strawberries / pumpkins etc. After paying through the roof for the produce you had picked, you could then have a wee wander around the farm to have a look at their small animals. However, this has all changed and they have obviously decided to cash in even more by charging entry fee to their indoor adventure play area. My son who I was visiting with was far too old to be clambering on soft play, but would have liked to see some animals. We decided not to pay the ridiculous entry prices, just to see a couple of chickens and some sheep that you can see in any field in the country. We won’t be going back. There are plenty of other places to pick pumpkins that charge a fraction of the price, and have way more posher and effort. I wouldn’t waste your time coming to craigies
Halloween event
Went for a prebooked Halloween event. It was booked for 7 pm. We were back in car at 7:15, that's how bad it was. We paid £80 for a family of 5 just for the tickets and we were looking forward to it but unfortunately we left disappointed, there was not much prepared for the visitors, everything covered in mud and charging inadequate amount of money, 3 kids 12-14 all disappointed as were expecting to experience an exciting night. And charging over £8 for 3 sticks of marshmallows (3 marshmallows on a stick) is just shocking. Very disappointing experience .
This was disappointing
This was disappointing. I went with my two daughters and three grandsons. Firstly, the food was really expensive but it wasn't that nice. The beef stovies was really dry. The kids sausage rolls came with beans but no chips which all kids love. The sandwiches were around a tenner, more expensive than a main meal. The portions were small. The best thing was the cakes but they were a fiver a slice. The kids play area was OK, better for older children. There was not a soft area bit for babies. That was 25 pounds for two boys and a baby to go in and the pumpkin picking was 15 pounds for two boys. It was well over priced for what it was. Quite frankly I'd not go there again.
NOT DOG FRIENDLY
NOT DOG FRIENDLY!
Be ware of that if you are hopping for a lovely pumpkin picking walk with your fur baby, they are not really allowed in even on the leash. Another shocking fact is that they do not do refunds for the tickets either. Wish I read the reviews to begin with, would have not even bothered to buy the tickets in the first place.
Really disappointed
Really disappointed, I order a chicken ceaser salad not value for money, the salad was mediocre it was a plate of lettuce with half a chicken breast and a boiled egg for £9.99, I’m glad I wasn’t very hungry. Service was fine and staff good but the portion size was a Childs. I wouldn’t recommend.
