Do better
Do yourself a favor and do not invest in Craftsman battery-operated tools. They do not stand behind their products, can randomly stop making batteries for these items and also not sell simple parts for their faulty units forcing you to buy another product.
The lawnmower repairman tried to call for us to get a part and they just don’t sell parts. Instead, they rather fill landfills with their red plastic garbage. (Greed outweighs environmental consciousness, I guess.)
I will never buy another Craftsman product and will be replacing all 4 of our lawn tools. We have manual tools, handheld tools and lawn tools. The loyalty stops here.
I can’t believe we invested in this brand. Lesson learned.
The Worst Customer Service
My husband bought a Craftsman gas-powered weed whacker at the beginning of June. It stopped working two months later, at the beginning of August. We contacted customer support for this product, and they gave us a list of companies to which we could take it. Most did not service hand-held units, a few didn't answer, and a few said they had too many units to accept any more.
So, we called back, and they gave us locations further away from our house. Those did not service Craftsman products or answer the phone.
Then they said we could find another person to service it and they would refund us. However, every place I called said they only service home appliances or lawn mowers. I really do not know what to do now.
We are now three weeks into this process with several calls, emails, and just no luck. We can't return it to Lowes because we are past the 30-day window.
I guess we will continue to contact the places that could accept them in weeks or months to see if they can eventually take it and fix it. In the meantime, my husband broke down and bought a different brand weed whacker, and we are out $190. My husband chose Craftsman because he has had good experiences with their products in the past. Obviously, we got a lemon this time, and it does not seem like they are ever going to resolve the issue.
We have used various kinds of Craftsman products, but this service is just awful. At this point, I am so frustrated with Craftsman that I don't want to give them another dime. Based on all the poor reviews, it seems like they do not provide any good customer service or honor their warranties.
Wish my husband had read the reviews!
I really wish my husband would have read these reviews before purchasing a Craftsman push mower. It worked one time and since then I have spent about 7 hours driving time trying to get it fixed
And at least 3 hours on the phone. What the company requires you to do to try and fix is ridiculous. Three companies I went to on their recommended list refused to fix Craftsman products because of their warranty policy. Now Lowes is sending it away. I have a feeling if it does get fixed it won’t work for long. Craftsman shouldn’t make it this difficult. It is a faulty product.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP??
MANAGEMENT OVERSIGHT NEEDED AND REQUESTED !!!
UPDATE (June 10, 2024): After calling, waiting on hold for 1.5 hours and insisting to speak with a supervisor, Charles (supervisor) told me I must take the lawn mower to be looked at for $100 per hour, with no estimated service time (could be $300-$400 just to look at which is MORE THAN THE LAWN MOWER COSTS).
He said if it turns out the problem I have is covered, I will get reimbursed the hundreds of dollars but if it’s not covered, I lose all the money.
CLEARLY they want me to use the $400 to buy a new lawn mower and profit the company while they REFUSE to HONOR OUR WARRANTY AGREEMENT.
NEVER CRAFTSMAN AGAIN !!!
Reliable Workhorse for Over Two Decades
I purchased the Craftsman gas push lawn mower from Sears 21 years ago. It has been an incredibly reliable tool. Regular oil changes, blade sharpening, and air filter cleaning have kept it running smoothly. Despite the challenging Florida grass and climate, this mower continues to work hard for over two decades . Mod. # 917.388040 Ser.# 042503M 071320. Thank you, Craftsman!
Fantasy kitchens
Fantasy kitchens were 1st class in every way. Highly recommended. Fantastic results. Helpful friendly team.
I purchased a hand blower one year ago…
I purchased a hand blower one year ago and with no forewarning it died. Still being under warranty I called, got a case number and a list of repair businesses. Calling all of them most said they no longer service craftsman. Craftsmans response back to me was to give me another number to call and after over an hour not answer. To me, they have poor service skills, inability to give correct answers and no care of the customer. If this is what their equipment does and what they then do to the customer, then know we will never buy from them again!

Ordered a bagger for my T110 Craftsman riding lawnmower and I have never had so much trouble getting information on when it would be delivered. All I have is a runaround. We have been doing business with you for almost 60 years
Never again.
I recently purchased a lawn mower…
I recently purchased a lawn mower (Craftsman.)
It leaks gas from the carburetor and doesn’t cut the grass
It was on sale $400. Honda motor is the real reason I bought it.
Rona refused to take it back. Stating there is gas in the tank. So it’s a hazard. Yet they sell gas on their shelves.
They gave me the wrong number for craftsman (USA)
Craftsman USA gave me the wrong number for craftsman CA.
Craftsman CA gave me a number for MTD. USA
MTD says take it back to where I purchased the mower.
Everyone passing the buck.
And I’m out $400 plus taxes.
Craftsman and Rona have just lost a loyal customer.
Unreal.

First time inquired about a belt for LT1000 riding mower, they couldn't answer. I just needed to know where to get one. No answer. When I bought a belt from an official Craftsman dealer, they gave me a belt that was 13 inches too small. Love Craftsman. Not the rookies that work for them

My son's 4" bench vice (a gift from his Grandfather) just broke, and I tried to get a replacement through Craftsman. However, my request was rejected and I was told it had a one year warranty, and we do not have a receipt as it was a gift. When I questioned the "no" response on the chat, the agent disconnected. That's a lousy way to do business. I have several tool chests full of Craftsman tools in my garage, some of which I have had for over 40 years. I bought them as they were good quality, and because of the lifetime warranty. I'm disappointed to see that Craftsman no longer honors it's lifetime warranty, which means that I no longer will be purchasing Craftsman tools.
Months Now!
I have an email chain from the warranty department on getting replacement tools. I have gotten nothing but the run around for over 6 months. I have the emails to prove that. They finally agreed to exchange them for something similar. I was emailed a UPS label and after using the label they sent via email(which did not work/would not print) and inquiring on 3-7-23, they said that they have not received my return. So now, I'm out tool that I use regularly. They informed that it would be 3 months to process this return. I am out tools that I shipped back and now since they say they never received my return; looks like I am just totally out of luck. Sounds like someone cancelled my return label and now I am just stuck holding the bag. Figure of speak, meaning I got screwed over by an American Company who use to stand behind their product. Wonder if I'll end up in the same position if my Craftsman Zero Turn has problems? I sent pictures of UPC's, pictures of my problem and all I got in return was headache after headache from their warranty department. No help from Oliver, Lyn or Danielle. I still have every email from said parties and the pictures sent. Thanks for nothing Craftsman/Warranty Department!
Stands behind their products
Recently contacted them for warranty replacement of some screw drivers some of which were purchased @ Sears 35+ years ago. The customer service experience was great and where items were no longer available, they offered comparable replacements. Which were received in a couple of weeks. Like most, I am not happy that many items are made in China these days but there isn't much I can do about right now and many of the US companies have little choice if they want to remain competitive. I think it's going to change soon and in the interim I will continue to purchase & support the Craftsman brand.
Excellent warranty support
Excellent warranty support. My two year old tool box broke down. I took pictures and sent an email to customer support at craftsman. I got an email that requested some more details of the product. Even though I did not have the original receipt, they honored the warranty and sent me a new replacement tool box. A very positive experience for me.
I bought an electric fan
I bought an electric fan. I did not know I had to buy the batteries and charger extra. I also dod not know I had to freeze my house to keep them working. I tried to get my money back but you have to send an email with a picture of the products and all kinds of information just to talk to a Supervisor. I could not get all the information on one email because I am not computer savy. So I have never got to speak to the supervisor and I am out lots of money.
Craftsman has great products and…
Craftsman has great products and guarantee, but by the same token there customer service Is the worst, they don't reply to emails and when they do they respond with a generic email saying you email has been received but no follow up or any kind of response to issue.
Worst customer service ever.
Worst customer service ever.
Taylor the customer service agent asked for my name and email without explaining why. I refused. This happened a second time after I repeated my question. Very frustrating. I was trying to find out where I can find a certified stalking retailer to return my chipped hammer, as advertised on their website for returns. She sent me a link that was exclusive to USA. I asked her about my country. She said she would have to connect me with someone else. Ten minutes later of being on a computer with hard-wired internet I get a message from Taylor saying " chat has been terminated due to inactivity" but I was waiting on them. I tried closing and opening the browser to get a new agent but it just opened up the same window with Taylor and I wasn't able to do anything. Now I am stuck with a defective hammer and do not know how far I am going to have to take it. Not buying their products ever again so I don't have to deal with these incompetent people.
It has been almost a month an no luck…con artist
It has been almost a month an no luck getting craftsman to respond to my emails and phone calls and letters. They sold me a defective 300 dollar pressure washer an of course ace hardware still doesn't give a crap. Is craftsman still in business . Sell bad products an collect money from hard working people. WOW good con.
Angle grinder caught fire in less than 8 minutes of use
Purchased a Craftsman 4½" 6amp Angle Grinder from Lowes lastnight for a job I'm doing. Had it out of the box for less than 8 minutes, then it shot flames out of the top while using it and something flew in my eye. I own my own construction business and I rely on these tools to get the jobs done. Not to mention my eye is sore as hell today. What a disappointment this was. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!!!!
