Always been good but… I have been with…
Always been good but… I have been with craftinsure for maybe 3 or 4 years now. Never made a claim so no reason to contact them but the contact I did have at renewal time was ok I guess. I notice Ripe have now bought out the company(something like that) along with GJW and another boat insurer. I also notice my premium this year has risen by 50% in addition to extra credit payments if You want to pay monthly but they don’t tell you what these are seemingly unless you hit the renewal button. This alongside my boat being in a marina and my increasing no claims seems like a huge and unwarranted increase. I would expect a rise but this seems like a money grab after buying out the competitors which is a concern as a lot of boaters including myself are low income and cannot sustain large increases like this year in year due to lack of competition. I have cancelled my renewal and luckily found a cheaper policy this year.

GOOD LUCK YOU'LL NEED IT
They don't call you or email you and my job took nearly six weeks to complete because they decided to send an independent insurance surveyor (who was absolutely brilliant). I had to chase them for everything including the final result... The job could have been so much quicker if they listened to the 3 marine engineers that gave their professional opinion but that wasn't good enough they wanted a loophole but they couldn't find so cost me extra to live as I was in the middle of nowhere, I had to walk 1.5 miles for water and drag it back 1.5 miles every other day for 6 weeks. I had to pay ridiculous prices for deliveries from Uber just to survive and still didn't keep me informed about anything!! Craft insurance invited me to write this review so I hope it pleases them.

You took the full amount for the year, rejected my card and I’ve still not had a response to my request to cancel. I wanted a monthly insurance amount and I can’t get hold of anyone. I now wish to cancel.

In terms of wanting to pay in monthly instalments, you did not apply to pay monthly which is why the payment was taken in full.
