Bee house FAUDSTERS
I ordered a beautifully crafted bee house. What I got was a crude 8 sides...held together with staples...piece of crap. They extolled how the tubes were sanded down so as not the harm the bees delicate wings. These tubes would rip their wings apart.
They are fraudsters...do not buy from them. They even gave themselves a $4.00 tip...probably to take a bath.
I would give zero stars
I would give zero stars, but one will have to do. Bait and switch scam. Don't buy anything.
Pure junk
Pure junk! Does this look like a teardrop bee house made of woven bamboo? It’s cheap ass pine stapled together. Maybe, maybe worth $4. Yet you have the audacity to change forty bucks for this trash. You are nothing but frauds. This looks nothing like the photo or the description you used to con people into your worthless scheme. You should be embarrassed and ashamed. People, don’t buy the corny old lady and old man stories that Craftfolk portrays in their con job spiel. Just more lies. This company should be named Crapfolks.
Images and descriptions are false
Ordered a handmade bee hotel with a braided bamboo cover. I was sent an octagonal wooden box held together by staples with rough tubes. The website emphasized smooth tubes to protect the bees and a waterproof teardrop shape to keep them dry. The hotel i was sent is nothing like i was promised. A complete scam. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY
False Product Description- Disputing Credit Card Charge
Like everyone said, the product I received was junk from Hong Kong. Usually I always look up reviews on products, but obviously I didn't research this one because there are complaints everywhere. Not many people are mentioning this, but you should just dispute the charges on your credit card. I will never buy another Craft Folk item again.
Dots handmade bee blossoms ..don’t…buy them they are a big ripoff
Dots handmade bee blossoms ..don’t bother what a joke ..these tiny little plastic flowers wouldn’t be able to hold a bee…very disappointing and would like my 50.00 Canadian money back…
Ordered Dots Wild Bee Hotel
Ordered Dots Wild Bee Hotel, supposedly hand made in N.C. Received piece of junk from China. Cost too much to return. Lost hard earned money on junk.
Beware scam DO NOT ORDER.
I placed an order 4/25/26 thinking it…
I placed an order 4/25/26 thinking it was a NC artist. USPS tracking says a label was created in Franklin Park, IL at 5:12 a.m., 4/30 As of 1:15 pm CDT 5/5/26, USPS has not recd the pkg but multiple emails to Craftfolk assure me it has been shipped--"30/04/26"--that date format is not typical of US shippers. Im reporting and disputing. Update--i threatened to report/dispute; pkg appeared at UDPS, then arrived, not same product, only 1.5" dia. Same ceramic bee blossoms are now being advertised by Clarendalr. Dont buy!
Bee House from Craftfolk…
I ordered a bee house supposedly hand made by a lady they call Dot in North Carolina and she is retiring as her hands couldn't do the work anymore. There are 10 houses left. I was also to get hanging instructions. The bee house would be teardrop shaped and wrapped in rattan. I got an octagon piece of junk and no hanging instructions. Returns? They go to CHINA. Beware, don't buy from them. Big SCAM.
I was scammed like everyone else
I was scammed like everyone else. Dot's bee blossoms are cheap Asian factory junk not hand crafted in NC. You should sue them for claiming Trust Pilot rating of 4.7 on their site.
Product not handmade or from the US
Product not handmade or from the US. I thought I was ordering from a small business/artisan, so I didn't mind paying a little more. If I want a refund, I have to pay for the return shipment to Hong Kong and they have to receive it within 14 days, not the 90 days stated on the website. These bee blossoms are mass produced. The photos of the product on the website are not what they are selling. Very disappointed.
Not an Artisan Company!
Not an Artisan Company!
I bought two bee hotels--one for my mom and one for me--after reading the story of Dot Callaway's lengthy research process to make the perfect, handwoven bee hotel. I don't know what AI program wrote that, but they did an excellent job.
There is no Dot Callaway. When I did a Google image search with her AI-generated headshot, I found a German and Dutch version of the CraftFolk website, where Dot is 64 (not 75) and named Margret Holzen. Well done, China. You got me good! At least now I can help my college students practice better research skills!
SCAM site. Cheap look alike products sold
Did not get the product I ordered at all! Super cheap moldy cardboard product received, not woth a couple of dollars, let alone a 100. Do not buy anything from this site!
I ordered handmade ceramic bee flowers…
I ordered handmade ceramic bee flowers alledgly made by Dorothy, even showed her picture on the website. What I received was cheap ugly resin bee flowers that didn't come close to the images on the website. Seems it's all fake and the copy address is Hong Kong. Suggust anyone considering ordering from this site to just say no.
This company is fraudulent
This company is fraudulent. Item looks nothing like it is portrayed. Looks like elementary school children made it NOT some artisans. I can send it (back to China!)but how much will that cost!?!
Do not fall for the sweet article about how the artist is closing out her shop and there are only a few 'BeeCups' left! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY
I liked the bee hotel
I liked the bee hotel, the story behind it and the thought that went into it. I ordered the 2 for $80.00 deal and anxiously waited. The shipping was not trackable and took very long. Finally it arrived, from Hong Kong ! They look like something a 3rd grader might make for a Mothers day gift. The exterior is not woven its pine that is stapled together and the bamboo is splintery. I fell for the nice story and got burned. And burn is probably what I will do with this junk. Lesson leared !
I smell a scam
I saw ads for bee flowers - ceramic, handcrafted in Shrewsbury England. Last chance to buy as Dot was moving! I suspected a scam and the reviews indicate I was correct so I did not buy. Keepaway.
Dot's handmade garbage
I'd have to agree with all the others. The product doesn't look like what they advertised. Was supposed to be pretty glazed flowers on a metal stake for the garden. I received crappy ugly resin flower that read cups for bees with fat stumps as stems very strong paint smell when box was opened. Very disappointed!
Don't trust craft folk site not what they claim.
Craft-folk.com is a scam
Like others here, I ordered Dot’s bee blossoms which were advertised as handmade, ceramic, etc. What I received were ugly resin flowers with little signs attached and no stakes. The cost for shipping this garbage back to Hong Kong was way more than my refund so I’m keeping them. Sent them a scathing email criticizing their product and business practices and they offered me a 30% refund without returning what they sent. I declined that too because I don’t want them dealing with my credit card again. It appears that they use their ill-gotten gains to build and maintain a good looking website. They probably write all their bogus reviews too.
I have to agree with other reviews of…
I have to agree with other reviews of Dot's Bee Blossoms. Just received and they are not handmade, not pottery, do not look like what was displayed, didn't have stakes, and now I have to return to Hong Kong although supposedly made in North Carolina. Chalk this up to BUYER BEWARE. I'm going to return and hope I will be refunded and not just throwing more money away.
