Vibe sea ghost 130 kayak
Having sold my boat a few years ago I really missed the water so I bit the bullet and bought a Vibe sea ghost 130 which I’d had my eye on for sometime . The pictures on the website are generic manufacturers pictures which believe me do not do justice .when I unwrapped the kayak at home after being delivered safely due to the incredible packing from the Warehouse guys at Cornwall canoes I couldn’t quite believe the build quality and attention to detail of this great canoe.
My visit to the Coast was brought forward a few weeks and when I contacted Cornwall canoes on a Monday, when they are in fact closed, Andrew assured me he would do everything he could to make sure it got to me on time and in fact it arrived a day early. When ordering the kayak I swapped out the free paddle for a split paddle so that it would be stored in the hull of the kayak easily.
The next day I had a similar conversation with Liam who was equally helpful and packaged up some GoPro accessories under a rod holder that again arrived perfectly on time.
The kayak itself is incredibly stable, in thigh high water I just turned sideways onto the kayak sat in the middle of it and swivel myself into face forward, there was not even a suggestion of the kayak tipping and the seat is most unbelievably comfortable position I’ve ever kayaked in. I would say kayak wheels are must as this is not a light kayak but it’s robust and stable and it will look after you in most conditions that you would think it was reasonable to go out in.
