Amazing food, incredible flavours and a lovely atmosphere.
Highly recommend.

Went to a cookery class and learned a lot. We felt warmly welcomed, the host was knowledgeable and passionate about his craft and supported by a lovely team. A great experience, I have new recipes to try, the team were generous with their time and ingredients, took home what I made to try with the family. Good value for money, can’t wait to return.

We had the most brilliant day yesterday learning how to make fresh pasta the Italian way from the lovely Ugo Massabo, owner of the Cornish Italian restaurant near Tregony. Ugo not only demonstrated and helped us to make tagliatelle, spaghetti and ravioli but we mastered gnocchi and focaccia too. Along with tuition from a genuine Italian master of the craft, we were treated to history of the craft, the science behind the cooking and execution of the recipes and some Italian family stories all accompanied by a lot of smiling! Ugo’s restaurant only serves meals crafted entirely in their kitchen with wholesome fresh ingredients, so the menu is limited but completely authentic Italian. I strongly advise a visit if you are in the area.

I bought an annual subscription because our first experience was so goo. I am looking forward to making the most of it. Staff very helpful when the website was awkward, or maybe it was me!

Ugo and his team are absolutely amazing. There's a lot of love at the Cornish Italian. The food is delicious and the service, second to none. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the warm and friendly atmosphere and the 5* treatment you can always rely on.

So glad we made the journey over! Dinner was amazing, the staff were so lovely and very attentive. The menu isn’t massive, but the dishes have been perfected! The focaccia starter is big enough to share with the whole table.
We’re looking forward to returning!

NEVER come here. I found a bandaid and toe nail clippings in my spaghetti, also the lights kept flickering and it ruined the aesthetics meaning it ruined me, my wife and my two kids experience. My sparkling water was flat and warm, my 6 year old sons orange juice was THICK and CLUMPY. I found fresh orange peels inside of it. DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONING.

We have just had lunch at this restaurant which is more of an Italian experience…
The food was exceptional as was the wine but the lunch was enhanced by the surroundings and the staff .
We will return …..

We have been visiting the Cornish Italian frequently for the last year now and on every occasion the staff have been so welcoming and helpful. Most of the time Ugo is around and he always makes time for a chat and to ensure we are having the best experience. Everything on the menu is so fresh and tasty. Really good value for money.
We attended one of the event nights in November with a live band playing and the atmosphere was really enjoyable so we would highly recommend these.
We have also just done the pasta cooking class which was outstanding. A small friendly group of us were taught the basics of pasta making as well as making focaccia which we got to eat and took some home. We definitely recommend booking a class.
Finally Ugo's Tiramisugo is worth a visit on its own. Simply the best outside of Italy (if we are allowed to say this!)

I recently enjoyed dining at The Cornish Italian and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Every dish was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. It was fantastic dining experience.

What a great place, we enjoyed starters, main, desserts and wine. Each dish was so tasty, portions just right and the service was excellent.

The service at The Cornish Italian was outstanding, and the food was simply delicious. Every dish was full of flavor, and the atmosphere made the whole dining experience even better. I can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch meal and excellent service!

Simply very efficient service!

Spontaneous lunch visit the other day based on all the locals telling me how good Ugo's place was. They were so right. Italy is one of my favourite holiday places and when there I love searching out the small family restaurants that locals flock to. Well, imagine my delight in finding out there is such a place right on my doorstep here in deepest Cornwall. The ragu sauce is up there with the best, the unique spin on Tirimasu a treat to eat. This is Italian food at its best. Not an especially varied menu but the dishes they offer are first class. It wasn't very full when we arrived - a weekday lunchtime - but I would imagine at an evening session with a good crowd it would be a really good place to be.
