Very impressed with Coppergate, I had bleph and am booked in for breast augmentation too with Mr Rhodes. All the staff are so lovely & professional, wouldn't go anywhere else for surgery now even though I live 2 hours away.

All the team at Coppergate are very good, from receptionists through to surgeon. At all times in the process I felt I was dealing with people who knew what they were doing. In my case, I was under the care of Mr Rhodes, who I found to be reassuringly straight forward and down to earth and consultations with him felt open and easy. Initially we discussed concerns, after which he presented options. Subsequent consultations explored further those options, until we reached an agreement on how to proceed. I think the key thing is to feel some level of confidence and trust in your chosen surgeon and then to reach a point where you both feel comfortable with ‘the plan’. Confidence and trust in Mr Rhodes came from a combination of the many good reviews he and the clinic have gained and the conversations we had leading up to surgery. These combined, led me to believe I was in good hands and that’s as much about intuition and feeling as it is research and statistics. I would certainly recommend this clinic and Mr Rhodes - just decent. Nurses were very, very good too.

Upper Bleph/Dr West
I had an Upper Bleph on 8/10/25 with Dr Chris West and Nicki. I was really anxious but both Chris and Nicki put me at ease immediately & were really patient. Chris got my sense of humour and this really helped with my anxiety, & Nicki was so kind and held my hand & spoke to me all the way through the op. I arrived at 12pm and was back in my mum’s car by 1.15pm. I felt no real pain during the op & whilst I looked like Beetlejuice for a few days, I felt no pain during my recovery either. I absolutely love the results so far. I have eyelids again! Can’t wait to apply eye make up next week. Reception staff were also lovely - really helpful and spent time with you answering queries in detail. I had a call from Alison too when it came to removing the stitches, & she was brilliant. Overall a great experience & I’ll be recommending to all my friends. One has already booked a consultation. Dr Chris West is fantastic at what he does. Thank you to all involved :)

Paid £150 for a consultation about upper eye lid surgery.
I was turned down within 1 minute of walking into the consultation room.
I was in the room for a total of 9 minutes.had travelled 2hours to get there.
I had also had consultations before hand with 3 other hospitals/clinics in the uk . I had heard of coppergate as my daughter lived in York for 4 years and told me about it .
All because I wanted to get the best outcome and get an understanding of the procedure and if I was suitable.
All 3 other hospitals/ clinics said yes I was but Coppergate said I was not.
So £150 down 😢

In your case, our consultant felt that this particular surgery was not the most appropriate option for you at this time. That judgment is reached based on the clinical assessment, our experience, and our duty of care to ensure any intervention is safe, appropriate and likely to meet your goals.
Although the consultation may have felt short, our records show that the consultant did discuss in detail alternative treatments and advised you on options other than upper eyelid surgery. We understand this may have been unexpected, but our intention was to act with your safety and best outcome forefront.
We would be delighted to schedule a further complimentary follow-up discussion (either via phone or at the clinic) to revisit your initial concerns, review the alternatives, and help clarify why this particular surgery was declined at this stage, as well as ensure you leave with a clear, comfortable plan. I had a wonderful visit to Coppergate Clinic for a vr facelift and lower blepharoplasty with a fat redrape by Mr Waseem Bhat back in June. Mr Bhat listened attentively to my concerns and provided a personalized treatment that yielded positive results. The care I received from Mr Bhat and the team on the day of surgery was exceptional. I was put at ease and cared for to a very high standard. The entire team at the clinic displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel so comfortable throughout my visit. What made my experience five star was from the start to the finish was the professionalism and comprehensive information and attention regarding the pre and post operative procedures .
Mr. Rhodes a top notch Cosmetic surgeon was friendly and descriptive about the procedure’s.
The staff that he employs were excellent, skilled and had years of training.
Having a great and talented staff in my opinion, always ensures a skilled doctor and excellent results.

I haven’t used the clinic facilities. Went inside to enquire about services etc and was told that everything was done in three clinic rooms and all the information I wanted was on your web site and to look at that! In terms of our facilities, we’d like to clarify that Coppergate Clinic does not have “three rooms where everything happens”. Our facilities include a number of dedicated consultation rooms, two fully equipped CQC-approved theatre suites, a beautiful and comfortable waiting area, and a private recovery room for patients, all designed to ensure the highest standards of care, safety and patient experience.
We also make every effort to keep our information as digital as possible, both to be environmentally conscious and to ensure patients have access to accurate, up-to-date information at their convenience.
For these reasons, we do question whether your experience may have been with another clinic rather than Coppergate Clinic. Should you wish to discuss your concerns further, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly, we’d be delighted to assist you.

Facial Fat Transfer and Upper Blepharoplasty
I would like to thank Mr Rhodes for his patience, understanding,and more importantly his expertise when carrying out facial fat transfer, to replace fat loss after two botched procedures, carried out by 'experts' in Harley Street, London. My only regret is I didn't find Mr Rhodes sooner.
I'm now day 4 after having the fat transfer and also upper blepharoplasty. The swelling and bruising is exactly as explained to me by Orla, who took the time to check in on me the day after the procedures, which I really appreciated. It is very reassuring to know that there is someone at the end of the phone if you have any concerns, no matter the time or day.
All the staff who were involved in my care, Heather, Katie, Leigh, James were so professional and reassuring and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Thank you also to the staff on reception who were always friendly and welcoming.
First class service and first class staff.

Blepharoplasty
I’m now on day four after my blepharoplasty surgery. The bruising and swelling are no where near as bad as I expected as I do bruise easily. Even with the swelling I can already start to see the results. Everyone I met at Coppergate Clinic was friendly, professional and reassuring. Ciarstan McCardle and her lovely assistant were amazing, they could see how nervous I was and they were so patient and kind. Alison has been really helpful in answering my post operation questions. I highly recommend Coppergate Clinic.

Bi lateral breast reduction…
Clear explanations about the procedure during the two consultations with Mr Rhodes - friendly & welcoming reception staff - amazing nursing staff who were both reassuring and efficient. I felt that I really mattered - and was not just another patient being processed. I received all the necessary paperwork - signed consent forms and explanations about what to expect after my bi lateral breast reduction. I was given an emergency contact number and discharged with medications and instructions for their use. I would definitely recommend Coppergate Clinic in York.
