I purchased a Bridge Shelf Set for $80 and was extremely disappointed with both the product quality and the company’s response.

The item arrived with a very strong, overpowering smell despite being advertised as non-toxic and suitable for animals, along with poor workmanship and finish (uneven coating, marks, rough joins). I was not comfortable using this for a pet, as the smell overpowered an entire garage.

Customer service was rigid, dismissive, and unwilling to resolve the issue or compile with Australian Consumer Law ‘when a product isn’t of acceptable quality or fit for purpose’.

Despite providing photos and clearly explaining my concerns, the company refused to accept any responsibility - Even after the company’s representative, Kimberley acknowledged that the product is known to have a noticeable smell, she insisted on treating this as a change-of-mind return and required me to absorb all return shipping and costs.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing from this company and would strongly caution others to think carefully before ordering.

Please also note - Coops & Cages trades under Somerzby Pty Ltd, the same company that operates somerzby.com.au. This experience therefore reflects on the same business operating under multiple brand names.

Im having to leave a review there as they keep deleting my review on there website.

Now i have been waiting a while to review this coop to see if any other issues occurred and I think it's good to be honest about what $1000 buys you and to be honest I'm a little disappointed.
This is my experience with coop: 
1) The wood used feels incredibly cheap, its light and easily cracks and breaks. (It cracked in places when putting together and has continued to break in places)
2) The black asphalt roof is significantly coming off the wood lining.
3) The whole run easily floods everytime it rains as the pitch and length of the roof isn't long enough.
4) The perches are basically the same level as the coop floor, they should be higher off the ground as they basically live on their poop after a few days.
5) There is zero ventilation in the coop, this may not be an issue in colder climates but in hotter areas they will literally roast when the coop is closed at night.
Overall this really feels like it has come from a cheap Chinese factory and the quality is poor, if there is an upside I have learned what I need for my next Coop and it's definitely not like this Castle !
