A short while back we had a Kitchen fitted in our council
flat.
but on one occasion our kitchen floor got flooded and it almost did today as I forgot to turn the Kitchen sink tap off. The reason is that the plumber/joiner did not put a
safety overflow system in because
1 the exit port was right up to the side of the installed
cupboard so a pipe could not be fitted
2 the installed sink had the said port on the right hand
side of the unit instead of most sinks wich have them
below the taps . All in all this is not a good outcome

The C&W team moved a cupboard door and associated electrics, and added some new power sockets. The whole team was very efficient and tidy, and the result looks really good.

We had an open 60’s staircase and needed it to be replaced with an enclosed staircase. A nice man called Henry came this morning and sorted out what was needed and got everything. He as done a fantastic job and he is a fantastic joiner and the job was to take 2 days but he finished it today. Thank you Henry and Cooper and Westgate for sending a brilliant joiner. You are lucky to have a joiner working for you who can do a fantastic job for your company . Thanks Henry

Had my fencing sorted today at my council property and they did an excellent job. Absolute perfectionists and was lovely gents. I can’t remember there names but they did fantastic job, have no faults at all

I had some work done at my council property by Nathan in January 2025. Nathan was very professional and fixed my fence securely in speedy timing. 5 Stars. Would definatley recommend. Thankyou Great Job.

I have recently had my bathroom changed with Cooper and Westgate. They have done an amazing job with loads of good advice and helpful hints. I had unforeseen problems with my floorboards and joists. They replaced everything fast efficient and a very reasonable cost. Cooper N West gate has been very professional in what they have done kept everything clean daily And very polite and courteous workmen since I've had my bathroom done I have bought another property which they are renovating for me. I have every in them.

Cooper & Westgate have just completed a major house refurbishment and extension in Helmsley. Signficant structural changes all the way through to Kitchens/bathrooms etc. They have done a fantastic job and we have been very pleased with the results. The team were professional and kept us fully informed all the way through. I would be happy to recommend them based on the service we recieved.

Terrible place to work. Under average wages. No sick pay. All about profit. My husband is a city and guilds tradesman and was paid rubbish money. He received many accolades compliments and tributes from companies and individuals. No thanks .wages deducted on retirement for using skip even though all other employees use it. Van demanded back when he got sepsis and nearly died. No tradespeople will work here.

Have to agree with previous review, poor customer service, very polite and listen to complaints but won't put faults right if it costs them money.

Commissioned to do £8000 re-roofing of rental property. The job was subcontracted by C&W and site management was poor resulting in roofing debris blocking guttering and down-pipes causing blocked drains and guttering leaks. Wouldn't offer to pay for costs of emergency drain jetting or damage. Did not take responsibility as main contractor. Poor customer service.

Every decision and any change of plan is discussed, costs adjusted and new time frames decided. The work force is courteous, will clean up at the end of every day and know their trade very well. Costs and timeframes are given at the very beginning of your dealings with the company, and in our case, adhered to. If I felt I had any concerns I had no problem discussing these with the MD.
