We joined the market tour in Mexico City today and it was incredible. Cookly customer service and support were excellent when we needed help finding the meeting point. On top of this the guide was fun and friendly and the experience felt truly authentic.
Bad experience, haven’t got my money back
I have had a bad experience with cookly. We waited a long time for a confirmation of our cooking class, only for it to be cancelled. We then found another class which was confirmed. however, it ends up being canceled at the last minute, so we didn't have time to find something new. They withdraw the money from my account, even though I haven’t attend a class. I still haven't got my money back and even paid a large fee for the Valuta difference that I won't get back. That’s too bad! I hope I wil get my money soon after waiting for over a week
Great cooking school
Great cooking school, I highly recommend it. Went there with my 9 years old son and he loved it
Great fun experience!
Wonderful teacher, nice class baking pastel de nata. Entertaining and enjoyable!

Thank you Cookly!
Thank you Cookly!
I've used this website several times during my travels around the world. I was able to book cooking classes with ease in all of those countries (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Italy). I highly recommend Cookly to anyone who wants to experience the local way of cooking food and cook amazing dishes with excellent cooking schools!

We Love Cookly!
I've used Cookly to book classes in a few countries (Myanmar, Thailand, Japan, China) and have had incredible experiences at each one. We did a food tour around Beijing, sushi-making in Tokyo, and cooking classes everywhere else. Each one was so unique and so fun.
Highly recommend this platform to find great food and cooking experiences all over the world!!
Buyer beware!!!
Buyer beware!! I purchased a cooking class 4 months out for a overseas travel through Da Nang,Vietnam and realized that it wasn’t feasible to travel through that town so I had to cancel the reservation about a month later as I was finalizing my travel events. They initially charged me $90 dollars, after a weeks worth of back and forth of trying to cancel for a refund and having to explain myself, they finally agreed to fully refund me, however I only received $86 dollars in refund. It’s not worth the $4 dollars to argue more after spending a week already arguing. They just suck so be aware of it!

Horrible experience with Cookly
Horrible experience with Cookly. Asked for refund due to COVID so my family cannot travel. Been nearly 2 months now. We booked for a family of 5 people. Nearly costing us $1000 waiting to be refunded.

HORRIBLE ! I have booked a cooking course in March…
HORRIBLE !
COOKLY = SCAM
I have booked a cooking course in March in Marrakesh
The Chef cancelled the course and followed the Cookly procedure correctly
Cookly never replied to my various emails asking for a refund (that was around 110 € !!!)
A girl called Dennise proposed 2 months later a voucher for another course which I didn't accept of course and I wanted a refund
This website COOKLY is a SCAM! Be careful and never book anything on this website
Still waiting for refund after class cancellation
I also booked a cooking class that got canceled because of covid-19. At first I got an email from an employee called Dennise, saying that I could get a refund. After that, I’ve never heard anything from her or any other person at Cookly again. I’ve written about 4 emails now to get my money back, but I’ve never had any response. My cooking class would have taken place mid-February, meaning I am waiting 3 months already for my refund, let alone a reply from any staff member. Never again and if I could, I’d give Cookly 0 stars instead of 1. Please be warned.
Coolly = Poor customer service
Per Cookly’s website, they will give a refund if a reservation has been cancelled prior to 48 hours before the scheduled cooking class. I have contacted them 3 times through their website to obtain a refund for a class that is scheduled over a month from now and have received no response. Very poor customer service!

Great day which began at the vegetablemarket and school about the ingredients, cook the meals and eat together with a lot of fun
That was just an amazing experience!!
That was just an amazing experience!!
The very friendly staff spent a lot of time to explain me everything and to show me how to prepare all the ingredients...and the dish was just delicious!!! :)
You get all the recipes printed out, so you can cook all dishes again at home!
AND: I arrived at their place at a wrong date (one day early), so the stuff managed spontaniously to build up the hole show kitchen and gave me the course, even though it was my fault :) thank you very much
The Beijing Chinese Classic Cooking…
The Beijing Chinese Classic Cooking Class run by Chao Zhou and his assistant Xiao Zing was very interesting and a lot of fun. They operate out of the back of Chao's home in a nicely equipped kitchen situated in a Beijing hutong on a side road. Chao started by giving us a lesson in Chinese condiments that included soy sauces, vinegars and wines. After we walked to his local wet market to secure the fresh ingredients we needed for our lesson. We made sweet & sour pork, braised chicken with mushrooms, broccali with oyster sauce and a ginger flavored egg custard for dessert. Everything was simply delicious. Definitely enjoyed the time with Chao and Xioa.
Refusal to give promised refund or response at all to customer inquires
This website has responded to COVID-19 absolutely terribly. I booked a month before my scheduled trip to Vietnam. When it became apparent that I would no longer be able to take my trip due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, I emailed Cookly to request a refund. Cookly's standard policy, not even considering COVID circumstances, is to give a refund for a cancellation more than 48 hours before the class. I initially received an email back from a representative of Cookly called Maureen, saying that they "could surely process your cancellation request but we are hoping that you may consider to have it as a credit instead of canceling." I replied that I would prefer a refund as I don't know when I'll be able to take a class. After this email, I never heard back at all from Maureen or anyone on the Cookly team, despite sending FOUR follow-up emails over the past month. This behavior from a company that says it provides excellent experiences and customer services to travelers is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Travelers beware.
