From initial proposal to installation and technical support, I found the Contact Solar team friendly and professional, without any hard sell. The installation of panels, inverter and battery was completed in half a day and the area was left clean and tidy. There was a delay in registering my SEG tariff application with EDF, but this was cheerfully resolved. Not surprisingly, they are very busy and would benefit from improving the contact centre experience/wait of their single phone number. Recommended.

Contact Solar (CS) acts with integrity, communicates effectively and clearly, and keeps to planned schedules.
CS’s installation team discussed and suggested options for placements of main equipment and cable routing prior to commenced. They were quick, knowledgeable, pleasant and very respectful.
We are extremely happy with how the whole process from quotation through to completion of installation and follow up call within 24 hours was undertaken.

What a tremendous company from start to finish everything ran smoothly the fitters were absolutely unbelievable in 38° temperatures. They still managed to complete it. Tim was amazing, thank you.

From my initial enquiry to the final sign off I cannot recommend Contact Solar high enough. Every stage was fully explained and they made sure I was happy to proceed, after installation I was contacted to make sure I was satisfied with the work and understood how it worked. Highly recommend this company if you want solar power installed.

Contact Solar as part of EDF provided a competitively priced and well planned and executed installation of my Solar panel system.
All aspects from order to post installation support were excellent.
All staff are friendly and informed.
So glad I got my system from them - All so smooth.

Sales person amazing charisma, tells you all the things you want to hear..

the surveyor comes out says yea thats all ok can do this do that all good customer happy.
then the fun begins, they pushed us to get it in and the scaffolding up, then when it was up tried to delay the install from what they had stated by many weeks.
when the install team came they didnt have the correct things to put the system where it should of been (on the wall) like was agreed with the surveyor. so they put it where it was easiest for them, not what was agreed.
then when it was up 4-5 attempts to change to the EDF tariff which gave 24p export and no standing charge. impossible to do as the 4-5 times it was set up cancelled set up cancelled ment your paying extortionate prices while you wait. wasnt simple so ended up going back to the original supplier just to get a service and a tariff that wasn't standard rates . they wouldn't backdate it either at the time had to make a complaint. but they quoted us 6.6kw from the roof and 5kw export we should easy achieve as we was south facing house and the property should hit maximum alot over the years. mmm lets say the system they provided will NEVER achieve those figures there impossible to get "without turning the whole house electrics off" was the comments after sales.
but then they lie to the MCS when i complained to them. 90 days have passed and they have not even provided my DSAR request that should be done in 30 days ( they lied in the calls and i asked for them, they requested 60 days extra due to call issues yet still to this day haven't acknowledged this 2 months has passed).
the manager doesn't even understand what clipping ment when talking to her so the knowledge base of the people is quiet crazy at best.

be warned what the sales person tells you also. there completely different from what the technical team tell you with regards the system and its completely different. swapping over to get the tariffs that make the system look atractive too is a sham.

i'd avoid this company if i had the chance again. you think when they say part of EDF your getting a company that knows what there doing, far from it.
ill be taking my case further because what they say when there trying to get you to buy it is FAR from what you get afterwards and the service is appalling

if your searching reviews of this company because your thinking of buying from them. you need to avoid them because my experience of this company and this is my experience of them, has been rubbish. if i could remove them and have to start again (cant afford to just rip them down) just to get away from the company i would there that bad.

The two fitters Ashely and Toby were excellent. Professional, polite and amenable.

An 8-panel array, inverter and battery completed in under 3 hours - and in the intense heat - when Toby had to work on the wiring in the roof space.

Hope their dedication is reflected in their salary! ;-)

The company is quick and competitive. They offered lower than a few other brands that offered me solar.
I cannot comment on the generation aspect as I have not really been generating that long but I have seen a drop from my bills from 260£ a month to 140£ a month. But I have yet to see any benefits until I start getting bills back from the feed in tariff.

I have had some issues with communication from the company which since my first review they have contacted me.

But they are quick to set up your system in principle and quick to install it once agreed

I would say one thing they should apply before the system is installed to check if you qualify for exporting your electricity. As this is done after the installation so make sure you either get authorised before hand or get it checked before you get solar installed.

Edf contact solar only use quality products the workman who installed my installion were excellent explained everything and when done went the the process of showing how the system works i had two battery and an inverter with the panels edf contact solar done all the paperwork which made things very easy they have also sort out my tariff with edf had many follow up cans to make sure everything working and you get a two year guarantee on the workmanship as well as the guarantee with the panels batteries and inverter would definitely recommend EDF contact solar

very very good to work with - from quote to sales discussion (no “pressure” sales) with every step walked through and a good price.
pre-installation communications were excellent, the install was very good and post install support has been first class.

Thanks to Ben yesterday for explaining things so well. Also thanks to Ellie Stuart(?) who has really suffered in dealing with me, the genuine incompetent, who couldn't tell an inverter from a new meter!!!!!
Although I have found it stressful at times, especially when the scaffolders found there was damage to the roof I knew nothing about, and someone from your office sent me the photos to get it repaired. Every body has been so helpful and long suffering. I hope, in the nicest sense, I don't have to bother you again!!

Contact Solar have made the whole process of installing and commissioning 18 panels very easy.
Their processes and communication are very good and they do exactly what they say they will do. Very pleased so far, and they are currently handling the tariff application with EDF as well - a real bonus.
