THE WORST!!!

THE WORST!!!! DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY FROM CONCORD AUTO PROTECT. WE HAD IT 3 MONTHS WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH OUR CAR. THEY TOOK 3 WEEKS TO GET BACK TO THE REPAIR FACILITY AND ASKED THEM FOR SERVICE RECORDS. HOW CAN WE HAVE SERVICE RECORDS IF WE JUST BOUGHT IT 3 MONTHS AGO AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME FOR SERVICE. THEY DEINIED THE CLAIM AND WE DEMANDED OUR MONEY BACK THEY SAID OK AND WERE TAKING 20 PERCENT FOR HAVING COVERAGE FOR THE THREE MONTHS TIME. WHAT GOOD IS COVERAGE IF THEY DONT COVER YOUR CLAIM WHEN YOU NEED IT. READ THE BBB REVIEWS NOT THE FAKE ONES THEY POST. THE BBB GAVE THEM A GRADE OF AN "F"

Purchased PREMIUM

Purchased PREMIUM, no deductible warranty, the top tier warranty they offer. I was told most claims are approved on the SAME DAY of service. Four days into a claim and cannot get an answer. Customer service phone representatives are HORRIBLE. They are unprofessional, almost thuggish in conversation. Spoke to two different individuals. Rude and hostile from the first question asked.

We are now eight days into the claim, have called every day to get an answer, and Concord only replies, "Someone will contact you." Then, silence. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Please don’t buy an extended warranty with Concord!!!.

I used concord on the belief that they would use oem parts in my BMW. No they only use generic parts. Also I have called 5 times to get my refund since I canceled my policy. Each time they said that they was going to PayPal me. This company should be a shame for just flat out lying to individuals. Aa a military member integrity is super important. I will definitely make sure my military community knows to stay away from this company. They should be banned. So sad to see companies scam hard working individuals.

Have canceled the policy in February…

Have canceled the policy in February and was told I am entitled to a refund great right. They said they would credit card that I used to purchase the warranty but I don't have it anymore, so they said they use ZELLE to return it. I set it up with my bank and waited never came so I called them back and told them this and they said they'd check on it. They were very helpful gave me all the info about the transfer, I gave that info to the bank and they also checked a few times but they received nothing. As of 3/08/2023 called again and was told they would have an answer by 4:30 hope so.

WARNING--Extremely dissatisfied

WARNING--Extremely dissatisfied. I purchased a $0 deductible plan and when filing my first claim discovered they would only cover less than 50% of the repair for a covered component. The amount authorized was short on labor hours to do full repair and authorized a very low amount for the part. I got 3 quotes all in the $1300-$1400 range and Concord authorized a total of $600 for an AC compressor repair on a 2018 Maxima. I left multiple messages and sent emails to the claims department and customer service and do not get a reply. This company misrepresents the coverage and does not act in good faith. STAY AWAY.

REPLY TO CONCORD:
I am rejecting this response because: I received 3 quotes that were much higher than the amount Concord authorized for the repair. In one of my emails to them I asked them to find a reputable ASE certified repair shop that would be willing to do the repair for what they estimated. They did not reply to that message or any of the many other phone/ email messages I sent. It goes back to my original point that the plan was misrepresented as a $0 deductible plan since they do not cover the full cost of a repair. The plan states that I could take my car “to a licensed repair facility within the United States, which has at least one ASE certified mechanic capable of diagnosing and repairing your vehicle using proper and appropriate equipment”
I did this and went beyond by getting other quotes from large established and highly reputable shops including a dealership. Concords response is misleading. They are not factoring in the actual cost f the repair resulting in a large out of pocket cost to me.They totally misrepresented this plan. I would welcome a full refund, not a prorated one. They have not paid any claims against my plan yet.

We covered the parts and labor for the repair for you. Sorry your dissatisfied but perhaps your shop is exaggerating the prices beyond MSRP and the nationally recognized time to perform the job because that's what we approved based on their labor rates. Thank You

Do not waste your time or money

Do not waste your time or money purchasing an extended warranty through Concord. Denied repairs of valve cover assembly, seals and gaskets, timing belt, water pump. I am now demanding a full refund. Should have searched other reviews before the purchase, as hundreds have gone through the same. Hopefully it doesn’t take months to get a refund like others that have requested.
The adjuster initially only mentioned the water pump and timing belt by stating it would make sense to replace them, then denied. The vehicles main issue that it went in for and the primary claim was the cam shaft seal. This was not mentioned by the adjuster until I forced an answer, which was again denied. Prior to that my car was in for the valve cover assembly, denied after it took two months waiting for Concord to reply. Every time I receive email replies it’s always evasive. I still have yet to receive a reply from anyone I’ve sent an email to about a refund. From other reviews it looks like some are waiting in upwards of a year before they actually receive their refunds, if at all.
Refund demand email dates:
12/16/2022
12/19/2022
12/26/2022
12/28/2022
1/09/2023

Update 03-15-23
2 months have gone by without a promised refund.
Spoke to Michael in February who promised refund check would be mailed and received within 14 days, which was never received.
Spoke to another gentleman on Friday who stated a full refund would be credited to my original credit card on Friday. As of today Wednesday the card has not been refunded as promised.

Scam, Please Beware!

Concord Auto Protect is a scam and needs to be investigated. I could write a novel explaining their incompetent business practices. I have a policy with them and they have used every trick in the book to not cover my vehicles transfer case. I am on the tail end of my 5 year policy and my mileage is still over 30,000 miles from the limit and they first tried to deny my claim due to mileage. I assure you this was not a clerical error, this was just Alex Brenner's first attempt at dodging their responsibilities. Once this was resolved after several phone calls they denied the amount of the estimate cost the shop submitted. They were only going to cover $1,200 for the transfer case and my shop could not find one for that price with their vendors. After much back and forth and lots of conflicting information from each person we spoke to they agreed to order and ship a recycled transfer case. This is not an adequate or fair replacement of a part. Thankfully that fell through and they found a refurbished transfer case. This all took over 1 month to arrange and fight for, and I assure we had to treat it like a second job and bug the snot out of them. The shop charged a $300 processing and handling fee for getting a part from a non vendor and Concord refused to pay for it or even meet me in the middle. I feel as if it is their responsibility to pay because this is the route they chose to wiggle out of their responsibilities. My husband and I had lots of discussions with Michael Solomon the owner/manager, he lies through his teeth and has no intention of standing behind the contract. To make things most audacious, when my shop called to get payment for labor which mind you was only $551, their credit card was declined several times. Michael Solomon stated he needed a few hours to get things straight. It finally went through later that day but that just nailed the head in the coffin that these guys are nothing but scam artists. Beware of their laid back nature when all is well, as soon as you point out their glaring inadequacies they become quite unprofessional.

Avoid Concord Auto Protect

Absolutely horrible! I bought four years and they gave me one for $3000. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram & my AC air went out. My bill was $1,600 after they only covered total of $700 and no rental car for two days. The work is was six hours but took two days so they don’t cover any rental car unlless it’s over 8 hrs. I have to pay for a rental car for two days and Freon and everything else, horrible horrible horrible do not use this company! I was assured that mechanical & electrical issues would be covered, not close to being true. If I were to do it over again, I would specifically look for expensive repairs and what they actually cover and you’ll find out it’s cheaper to pay yourself. Good luck

Scammed, blocked my number so I can’t make claim

Scammed. Stalled for over 1.5 months before attempting every excuse in the book to not cover an engine which was specifically covered in my premium contract. Got caught lying to repair facility, myself, their own third party inspection agency, and the BBB. dodged all phone calls and would not offer any solutions. Does not offer any service for anything after 6pm, cannot even look up plan. Made up random quote number which was 1/3 the quote by 2 separate inspectors and failed to provide a location for repair or source any parts for anywhere near that value. Company states they do not pay taxes and will not pay taxes for repair. Also refused to honor their contract including definition of repair costs which states "combination of parts and labor necessary to repair or replace a covered part in the incidence of a breakdown" by denying to pay for all the parts associated with covered part (engine) and refusal to pay for labor relating to any programming or software required to repair the engine. They refused to arrange for replacement or repair of engine which contract states is their obligation if they decide to not approve the repair cost. They tried to force salvage engine without guaranteeing it works and making myself/shop pay for picking up/shipping the engine and all repairs after if they should install a motor which ends up not working. My claim eventually got approved with recycled ie salvage motor which they requested a quote and ended up being thousands more, to which they then attempted to backtrack and try and deny. They cropped photos stating fake prices which were found to be of motors which had been involved in serious frontal auto accidents with full airbag deployment and which were stated to not run at the time of sale. They then tried to use this as a basis for quote, which obviously was thousands of dollars less than every other motor within 100+ mile radius at salvage yards. They attempted to extort my chosen repair shop for free services /parts/labor and also myself as well as stall. when their techniques failed they attempted same thing with third parties and began dodging phone calls. company refused to provide timelines for repair or other solutions, refused to provide me with any information in writing. Got caught lying about who they hired for inspection company in attempt to prevent my shop from contacting the party for proof of receipt and speed up claims. refused to honor literal invoices as well as verified services by verified shops through carfax. when provided with physical receipts they tried to state pictures were cropped and when resubmitted they ignored. Attempted to coerce me to get a refund too instead so they wouldn't have to pay out policy. Cannot use rental reimbursement without a claim approval which is still not decided almost 2 months in. Overall an absolutely horrible company who legitimately does not abide by their own written contract and definitions. Claims adjuster Alex Brenner should be put in jail for his deceptive tactics and falsification of information. Repeatedly lie over the phone which is difficult to prove, but they lie so much that there's tons of emails which contradict themselves and they end up getting caught in their own lies. He lacks not only common sense, but morals, ethics, and a ability to read as shown by his struggle to understand their own contract coverage. He is not a claims adjuster, he's a claims fraud and has attempted to falsify information and cook the books in terms of prices, documents, and labor estimates. They seriously need to be evaluated for forms only consumer related fraud, business fraud, insurance fraud and misrepresentation, breach of contract, and more. Alex Brenner is a key figure who has repeatedly got caught lying not only about getting the documents they need but also lying in an attempt to fix prices well below the national average and state average for the repair. Truly white collar crime. Lastly, they expect the shop my vehicle is at to keep it there despite them refusing to allow work done on the vehicle or pay out. They cannot offer another solution and want my shop to also maintain liability for security of the vehicle since no where else will take it for their made up prices and labor.

transparency on coverage, talk to multiple people, do your research

3 stars given for the inaccuracy of the information being provided. And the number of people needed to get a hopefully clear answer.

To try and be as transparent as possible to other consumers.

I spoke with a general customer service rep and got one answer, sale specialist and got a different answer, and spoke with sales specialist manager Michael and yet got another answer. So I've decided to update my findings from a few of my questions that got clarified.

Is there a dealer hourly rate cap?
Full labor rates (Customer General Line)
$200/hr (Sales Specialist)

How do they cover parts? Dealer rate or after market?
New Parts OEM (Customer General Line and Sales Specialist)

Is there a certain dollar amount cap or policy cap?
Up to purchase price of vehicle (Customer General Line)
$9000 per claim, unlimited claims (Sales Specialist)
$9000 for the life of the policy, ergo $9k policy max paid out (Sales Specialist Manager)

************************

Clean Bill of Health / Inspection should be done prior to purchase of vehicle to cover yourself.

Buyer’s Beware Updated Response

Edit:
My facility will not deal with concord or any other warranty company. They say they don’t have the time or the desire to negotiate a lower price for them to receive.

Full disclosure, I’m basing my review on my experience from talking on the phone with my repair facility.

I called the repair facility that my family goes to. I expanded the reviewer below with the title paraphrasing “Do this first before you pay”. I asked which warranty company is the best. He said none. They all do same thing as the reviewer outlined below.

Run the other way

Run the other way, don't look back. They actually cover very, very little, and when you call they say they will help you with this claim, but they don't actually do anything. I have been going the rounds with them trying to get them to do a $5000 repair, the rear differential which it says is covered, but they have denied it repeatedly. And good luck getting a refund from them. Do not do business with them.

Your claim was not approved because you previously denied repairs that you needed to get done that resulted in your Transfer case braking . You drove around with a broken viscous coupler causing these issues on the vehicle . Unfortunately we can not take responsibly do to the fact that the transfer case failed directly because you did not take care of your repairs prior to purchasing the plan with us .We have canceled out your plan as you requested and we refunded you in full minus what we paid out .

Don’t use this company...

Don’t use this company.... I’m currently going through legal actions with this company... my car was in the shop for 3 weeks. Warranty still active and they tried to get a used tranny. But because they said they couldn’t get one. They used the excuse the dealer wouldn’t let the adjuster drive the car to see the issue and went with that as the reason it was denied. Of course the tranny wasn’t working so that’s why they couldn’t drive it......... don’t don’t don’t use this company.... if you have any questions about this company email me Robertmaningat 108 @yahoo.com. don’t don’t don’t use this company... no spaces on the email..
