Very pleased with my delivery of Black Gold. I have mainly used it to top up my vegetable boxes and have been really pleased with the improvement in crops. It has also worked well as a mulch on some very poor clay soil. Roses are looking great this year!

My compost direct Black Gold is exactly what I was after. Looks great, helps to keep the moisture in and has a good texture, not full of coir bits unlike some compost I have used!

Although I spent a small fortune every year on bedding plants, my garden never looked as good as I thought it should. Then I realised that the problem was that my 'tatty' lawn was detracting from the visual effect, with bare patches and humps and hollows which meant that the mowing was uneven. I ordered a ton of lawn dressing top soil from Compost Direct, which was delivered promptly. Within a couple of weeks of applying a thin coat of this soil to my lawn it started to look less like a rough meadow and more like a bowling green. I have received several complimentary comments from my neighbours regarding the way my lawn has improved.
I have now resolved to add a further dressing to the lawn this Autumn and will certainly be ordering this from Top Soil Direct.

Ordered an 850 litre bag of Topsoil Lawn Dressing which was excellent quality. Delivered promptly and very happy with my purchase. Needless to say perhaps but an 850 litre bag is very heavy so be sure where you want it left!

Brilliant product will be using again definitely. Our garden soil, as with all new builds, was poor and drainage poor. There has been a significant improvement since digging in 400 litres of this stuff! The only reason I have not given 5 stars was the delivery. I feel it could have been a little quicker.

Really satisfied with the product, good consistency. Delivery was great, right to where I wanted it. I purchased this product to improve the yield in my quite large vegetable garden. Gave it 4 stars as I will need to wait until I harvest the crops to see how successful it has been.

This is the second time I have used Compost Direct and both times have been very impressed with both the ordering and delivery of the products ordered. The soil I I have received both time has been stone free, free draining and produced a great crop of vegetable, will definately be back when I need more.

I was a little worried when I read some recent reviews on delivery service. I can only say my service was excellent. Received a call a few days after ordering saying they could deliver the next day. The delivery guy was very friendly and helpful. He had an electric pallet truck and delivered right to the top of our drive. Product was also excellent quality.
