Compass Design Build Reviews

Written by the company

Most builders begin with a floor plan. We begin with you. Compass Design Build is a custom home design-build company creating homes around the people who will live in them. We bring design, pre-construction planning and construction together under one roof, helping our clients move from an idea or piece of land to a thoughtfully designed and beautifully built custom home. Our process begins by listening. How do you live? What matters most to you? What do you want your home to feel like? We consider your lifestyle, property, views, budget and priorities before allowing a floor plan to drive the conversation. A home shouldn’t dictate the way you live; the way you live should dictate the design. Founder Bob Gramann has spent more than four decades in design and construction and has earned the nickname “The Land Whisperer.” Where others may see a difficult hillside, challenging lot, rock or boulder as an obstacle, Bob sees an opportunity. Compass works with the land rather than forcing a house onto it, using the property's natural features, views and character as part of the design. Transparency and value are equally important to our process. To us, value means getting the most from every dollar you spend—not simply choosing the cheapest option. Thoughtful planning, early value engineering and clear communication help clients make informed decisions before expensive changes occur in the field. Compass Design Build serves custom-home clients throughout Southern California and Arizona, including San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, Scottsdale, Phoenix and Prescott. You can have anything you want. You just can’t have everything. Our job is to help you discover what matters most—and create a home that feels unmistakably yours. Compass. Always Guiding You Home.See more
