I submitted a booking online for a move-in date the following week and received automated confirmation emails stating it was a binding reservation — only pending the landlord's contract. Several days passed without any update. I had to chase the agent repeatedly just to get a response, and after multiple back-and-forths, I was finally informed that the flat was no longer available — apparently the landlord had decided to use it for personal purposes.
What made this especially frustrating is that the platform acts purely as a middleman: they hold neither keys nor contracts, which makes the entire process inefficient and unreliable for time-sensitive moves. The so-called "binding agreement" offered no real guarantee whatsoever, and I never received any explanation of what that commitment actually means in practice.
The Easter holidays were cited as a reason for the slow communication — but delays like this should be communicated proactively, not used as a retroactive excuse. A simple heads-up would have gone a long way. Instead, there was no sign of effort or urgency from the agent's side, leaving me in a very difficult position.
To make matters worse, the flat is still listed as available immediately on their website — which raises serious questions about the accuracy of their listings.
Coming from a customer service background myself, I would have expected a much higher standard of care. I cannot recommend this platform for any time-sensitive housing needs. The communication is slow, the process lacks transparency, and the "confirmed booking" carries far less weight than advertised.
