Can I give 0 stars?
Wish I had read the other reviews. Says it is a UK Company but it is not, it is based in Poland.
The quality of the product was rubbish and cost me £159 and I decided to send it back. Thinking it was simple enough, I filled out their form made on a version of Word from theatre 90’s and sent it back to Poland, for a cost of £15. So now I am £174 out of pocket.
A few days later I got hit with a £32 import fee from FedEx. £206 out of pocket.
It has now just been sitting at the Polish Customs Authority since 5th September and I suspect it is because they won’t pay the import duty on it and have told me by email I must pay that. No idea how to do that seeing as I am London based.
Doubt I’ll get anything back, have tried my bank to see if they can help me but at the moment feels like £200 down the drain.
Avoid avoid avoid like the plague! Awful quality, awful customer service, awful refund policy.
Wish I had read the reviews.
Bought a glass hearth, lovely shape, but turns out it is not up to UK regulations as it is only 6mm thick and it needs to be 12mm to comply.
Investigated a return, but to return has to go to a 'returns warehouse' in Poland and will cost me £81(minimum)...
Not very realistic or fair, given that I paid only £10 to ship it to my address.
Be warned, this is not a UK website although has the .co.uk on the web address. You WILL be charged a customs VAT charge for shipping to the UK !! This isn’t included in your payment to Coloray.co.uk.
We've ordered a half-moon mirror from Coloray.co.uk which was received in the delivery time. Mirror received in one piece with no damage, all good there.
Since receiving the mirror I’ve started to get emails and now a letter from the courier, FedEx asking me to pay the customs VAT. At first, I thought the emails were a scam as there was no reference to the mirror or a number I could search for. Turns out the request is real and there chasing me for the VAT import charges which is a surprise to me as there is no mention during the ordering process.
After checking Coloray website, terms and conditions and a few other areas on there website there is absolutely NO mention of a customs VAT charge you will need to pay. There are 3x areas on the website regarding delivery where it could be mentioned but they have refused to put it on there, assuming so their products are cheaper.
After some emails to Coloray.co.uk which they have become slightly arrogant about the situation I would advise to shop elsewhere. I bought a mirror for £200 and now need to pay near £50 in VAT, if I was giving a heads up this would happen it wouldn’t be an issue but because they hid the fact, it feels a bit dirty and sneaky.
Sneaky companies don’t deserve anyone’s money, please avoid!
